Long reach cable cutting tool including dual action hydraulic piston assembly and releasable connections
A long reach cable cutting tool includes a handle, a motor electrically connectable to a battery, a trigger electrically connected to the motor to provide power from the battery to the motor when the trigger is activated, a pump connected to the motor, the pump is activated to displace a first fluid, a hydraulic actuating system connected to the hydraulic pump, the hydraulic actuating system is movable by the displacement of the first fluid to displace a second fluid, a pole having a first end and a second end, the pole connected to the handle at the first end, and a tool head connected to the pole at the second end, the tool head including a tool head hydraulic actuator hydraulically connected to the hydraulic actuating system, the tool head hydraulic actuator is movable by the displacement of the second fluid to cause relative movement of the actuator with respect to the tool head.
Crimping tool
A crimping tool and associated method to create a mechanical and electrical connection between two cable elements. A tool body including a first and second attachment points. A first guidance element arranged at a first distance from the first and second attachment points. A second guidance element arranged at a second distance from the first guidance element. The first and second attachment points are arranged on a first side of the first and second guidance elements. A flexible cable with first and second end parts removably attached to the first and second attachment points, respectively. The cable engages the first and second guidance elements. The cable extends between the first and attachment points such that a loop is formed on a second side of the first and second guidance elements. A powering unit configured to increase the first distance so that a diameter of the loop decreases.
PRESSING TOOL
A pressing tool performs a pressing operation for the press fitting of parts. One part can have different outer dimensions within a specified range. A tool part acts on the part, is a part of a pivoting jaw which has an action surface, and can be pivoted about a pivot axis from a starting position having a greatest opening width to a pressing position having a smaller opening width. A hydraulic piston movable in a hydraulic cylinder applies a piston force, depending on a hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic cylinder. A higher pressing force is in effect when a greater opening width of the pivoting jaw is provided and when the maximum piston force is reached. When any opening width that is smaller than the greater opening width is provided, a pressing force lower than the higher pressing force is in effect when the maximum piston force is reached.
Automatic oil return structure for piston pump
An automatic oil return structure is provided. The automatic oil return structure has an oil storage bag, a piston, and a main body assembly. The piston has an oil storage chamber. The main body assembly has a main channel, a piston oil channel, a pressure regulating channel, a control channel, an operation channel, a minor channel, and an oil return channel. When the pressure of the main channel achieves a limit pressure, the pressure pushes the control blocking assembly away such that the pressure regulating channel communicates with the communication channel, and the pressure also pushes the operating assembly away such that the minor channel communicates with the return channel. At the same time, the pressure of the oil storage chamber pushes the oil blocking assembly, so as to isolate the oil storage chamber from the main channel, and the oil storage chamber communicates with the oil return channel.
DUAL ACTION HYDRAULIC PISTON ASSEMBLY
A dual action hydraulic piston assembly including a cylinder having first and second inlet ports on a first end and an outlet port on a second end, a conduit connected to the first inlet port and extending into the cylinder, an inner ram slidable along an outer surface of the conduit, and an outer ram slidable between the inner ram and the cylinder. The inner and outer rams are configured to move together toward the second end of the cylinder in response to a fluid being displaced via the first inlet port into the conduit, which displaces a second fluid through the outlet port at a first flow rate. The outer ram is configured to move toward the second end of the cylinder in response to a fluid being displaced via the second inlet port, which displaces the second fluid through the outlet port at a second flow rate.
Dieless utility crimper
Embodiments of the invention provide a crimper for use in a tool. The crimper can include a clevis, a nest, and an indenter. The clevis can include a first leg having a first slot and a second leg having a second slot. The first leg and the second leg can extend from a cylindrical body that has a base surface. The indenter can be configured to be moved from a retracted position to an extended position. The indenter can include a body with a work surface and a base on opposing sides of the body. The base of the indenter can be configured to engage the base surface of the cylindrical body when the indenter is in the retracted position.
Portable hand held power tool with interchangable head
Portable, hand held, battery operated, hydraulic tools are provided with a tool frame and one or more interchangeable working heads. When the working head is connected with the tool frame, a piston actuated by a hydraulic system within the tool frame applies force to the working head to perform a task. A coupling mechanism holds the working head to the tool frame. The coupling mechanism allows the working head to be removed from the tool frame and another working head to be joined to the tool frame. The coupling mechanism can hold the working head at a fixed rotational angle with respect to the tool frame. The coupling mechanism can also allow the working head to rotate with respect to the tool frame.
Portable in-line dieless crimping tool
An in-line portable, handheld hydraulic scissor-type action crimping tool having a handle assembly and a working head assembly is provided. The handle assembly has a tool frame portion and a neck portion. The working head assembly has a pair of jaw members joined so that they are movable relative to each other and held in place by a locking pin. One jaw member has a nest secured to or directly formed into the jaw member. The other jaw member has an indentor secured to or directly formed into the jaw member.
Power Tool
A hydraulic tool includes a tool head and a moveable piston coupled to the tool head. The hydraulic tool head includes a plurality of jaws, which are operable to open and close for performing work on a workpiece. The hydraulic tool also includes a motor operable to drive the moveable piston to close the plurality of jaws to a closed position at which the work on the workpiece is completed. The hydraulic tool further includes a position sensor configured to detect when the plurality of jaws are at the closed position and responsively generate a sensor signal indicating that the plurality of jaws are at the closed position. Additionally, the hydraulic tool includes a controller configured to receive the sensor signal from the position sensor. The controller is configured to operate the motor based on the sensor signal that the controller receives from the position sensor.
Portable hand tool
Tools for operating on an object, such as a wire or cable are provided. The tool includes a housing and a working head assembly. The working head assembly has a movable section and fixed section secured to the housing. The movable section has a first end movably secured to a first end of the fixed section. The movable section has a second end that is releasably secured to a second end of the fixed section using a latch pin. The working head assembly also includes a latch pin stop that is positioned in the second end of the movable section. The latch pin stop is configured to prevent the latch pin from releasably securing the movable section to the fixed section until the movable section is properly aligned with the fixed section.
