Electrical docking station
Systems and apparatuses for access-controlled electrical docking stations that automatically switch power to an electrical system between generator power and utility power are disclosed herein. An illustrative electrical docking station can include a cabinet that houses a circuit breaker, a generator interface to connect generators to the electrical docking station, an Automatic Transfer Switch, and a power supply. The power supply can supply converted DC power and protection to different accessories for the electrical docking station including an alarm, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism can be configured to lock a door to the generator connectors in a closed position when the ATS is energized by a generator and to not lock the door when the door is in an open position. In some such circumstances, the alarm can shine green or provide an audible alarm and shine red respectively.
Wireless monitoring and configuration tether for use with isolated industrial product and method of operation thereof
A portable tether device for configuring and/or monitoring an isolated industrial product includes an outer housing defining a chamber, a magnet positioned within the chamber to provide for magnetic attachment of the portable tether device to a housing panel, and an inductive receive coil positioned within the chamber and adjacent an underside of the outer housing, the inductive receive coil operable with an external inductive charging coil to provide inductive powering to the portable tether device. The portable tether device also includes a communication circuit positioned within the chamber and powered by the inductive receive coil, with the communication circuit further including transmit and receive optical components that provide light-based communication between the portable tether device and the isolated industrial product and wireless communication circuitry configured to transmit and receive wireless signals to and from the portable tether device.
ELECTRIC DEVICE HAVING MULTIPLE DISPLAYS, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
An electric device having multiple displays, and a control method therefor are proposed. The electric device is mounted on a supporting body, and includes a first display (10) and a second display (20), which are configured in a same housing (30) and are facing a front, wherein one of the first display (10) and the second display (20) provides a rectangular horizontal screen and displays information about a meter function, and the other of the first display (10) and the second display (20) provides a rectangular vertical screen and displays information about a relay function.
IMPROVED SWITCHBOARD AND ASPECTS OF A POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
A pre-assembled switchboard has a housing having a plurality of bus bars and a cable entrance for a plurality of subcircuit cables and a sub-circuit termination block with conductor coupling elements configured for connection to the conductors of a plurality of sub-circuit cables. Circuit protection devices are connected between the bus bars and the sub-circuit termination block, and the conductor coupling elements being grouped by sub-circuit so that the conductors for each sub-circuit cable can be terminated adjacent to each other.
MODULAR INSTRUMENT COMPARTMENT
An instrument compartment for an electrical cabinet includes a box-shaped compartment structure comprising a stationary end portion mounted on a frame of an electrical cabinet and a swingable portion hinge-mounted to the stationary end portion. A power supply terminal is mounted to an inside surface of the stationary end portion, configured to supply electrical power to electrical components in the interior space of the compartment structure. Guide structures are mounted on an inside back panel of the interior space within the compartment structure, configured to position the electrical components for connection to wiring harnesses and the power supply terminal or other electrical components to facilitate assembly of the electrical components within the interior space of the compartment structure.
REPLACEMENT PANELS FOR ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION CABINETS FOR THE MONITORING OF TARGETED COMPONENTS AND CONNECTIONS
Embodiments of the presently disclosed invention may enable electrical components and connections to be monitored within electrical distribution equipment cabinets having a blanking panel. Such an IR/UV-permitting panel may replace the pre-existing blanking panel in order to monitor the adjacent area having the targeted components and connections to be monitored. NFC tags may be utilized in connection with an IR/UV-permitting panel to enable data acquisition and management systems for the monitoring of electrical components in a cabinet.
Handle for a compartment of a low, medium or high voltage switchgear
A handle for a compartment of a low, medium or high voltage switchgear includes: a body part; a hand grasping part; and a lock. The handle is movable from a closed position to an open position. When the handle is in the closed position, the handle is not useable to open a door of a compartment of the switchgear. When the handle is in the open position, the handle is useable to open the door of the compartment of the switchgear. In the open position, the hand grasping part is positioned so as to be graspable by a human user. In the closed position, a transition of an active element in the compartment of the switchgear from a quiescent state to an active or potentially active state activates the lock. Activation of the lock stops the handle from moving from the closed position to the open position.
PLUG-ON SERVICE-ENTRANCE NEUTRAL DEVICE
A service-entrance plug-on neutral (SEPON) device having a conductive neutral sled having a line sled side and a load sled side configured to electrically couple with a neutral bus of a bus assembly of a switchboard or panelboard when the SEPON device is installed on the bus assembly; a lug assembly having one or more electrically conductive terminal lugs configured to receive line neutral current from an external source and to electrically couple to the line sled side; a movable neutral disconnect link movable into a connection position to establish electrical continuity between the line sled side and the load sled side and into a disconnection position to cause a discontinuity between the line sled side and the load sled side; and a main bonding jumper having first mounted to the line sled side and a second ends configured to be moved between a non-connected position and a ground position.
Switch cabinet frame structure having closed base frame
A switch cabinet frame rack with multiple profile struts and a rectangular base frame, the underside of which is an outer side of the switch cabinet frame rack, which has at least one through-opening, wherein the through-opening is closed by a skid which is detachable mounted on the outer side.
Replacement panels for electrical distribution cabinets for the monitoring of targeted components and connections
Embodiments of the presently disclosed invention may enable electrical components and connections to be monitored within electrical distribution equipment cabinets having a blanking panel. Such an IR/UV-permitting panel may replace the preexisting blanking panel in order to monitor the adjacent area having the targeted components and connections to be monitored. NFC tags may be utilized in connection with an IR/UV-permitting panel to enable data acquisition and management systems for the monitoring of electrical components in a cabinet.
