METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INTRODUCING A CABLE INTO A CONDUIT
An apparatus (10 which is to be inserted into a longitudinally extending conduit includes at least one longitudinally extending compartment (11) formed by attached the ends of a sheet of material (12) together. Another sheet of material (15) has one end attached to the compartment (11) and has compatible fastening elements (16, 17) on its opposed ends. A cable (19) may be positioned adjacent to the sheet of material (15) and it is folded around the cable (19) to form an additional compartment (18). The apparatus (10) may then be inserted into a conduit.
Fish tape leader
A fish tape leader comprises a leader body extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end and a second end. A frustoconical cap is at the first end. A tail portion extends from the frustoconical cap to the second end. The fish tape leader further comprises an attachment portion configured to secure the leader body to a fish tape.
Cable securing device
A cable securing device for installing and removing cable or wire through a wall. The cable securing device includes a rod having a first rod section, a second rod section, and a fastener disposed on each end capable of securing a cable thereto. The first rod section is movably secured to the second rod section in order to allow a user to independently rotate each end when installing cable to one of the fasteners. In operation of one embodiment, the user secures a new cable to a first threaded fastener and an old cable to a second threaded fastener. The rod sections are attached to each other if they had not been previously attached, and the new cable is threaded into the wall and old cable is removed from the wall through a single action by the user.
Wire puller and cord
A cord and a wire puller are used to pass through narrow pipes or the like. The cord includes a first guide wire section and a second guide wire section. The first guide wire section includes a plurality of first guide wires, and the first guide wire section has a first segment in which the first guide wires are intertwisted with each other. At least a part of the first guide wires extends from the first segment to a transitional segment. The second guide wire section includes a plurality of second guide wires, and the second guide wire section has a second segment in which the second guide wires are intertwisted with each other. At least a part of the second guide wires extends from the second segment to the transitional segment, in which the first and second guide wires are intertwisted with each other.
Fish Tape Roller Head
A fish tape roller head for guiding fish tape through a conduit includes a head body having a top side, a bottom side, a back side, and a right arm and a left arm forming a U-shaped front side. Each of the right arm and the left arm have an axle aperture extending through from an outside edge to an inside edge. The back side has a threaded aperture extending towards the front side that is configured to receive a fish tape. An axle is coupled to the head body by being coupled through the axle aperture of each of the right and the left arm and extending therebetween. A spherical rollerball is coupled to the axle and has a through hole axially extending therethrough. The through hole receives the axle such that the rollerball is rotatable around the axle between the right arm and the left arm.
Threading device suitable for building electrical pipeline
Disclosed is a threading device suitable for a building electrical pipeline. The threading device comprises a fan, a take-up and pay-off main machine and a connecting hose. A take-up state induction mechanism mainly composed of a bent pipe converging device, a first rotating shaft, a bent pipe converging device lifting spring and a first microswitch is creatively arranged in a ventilation bin. When a strong wire is tightened, the bent pipe converging device is easy to rotate along with tightening of the strong wire, and the strong wire makes contact with the first microswitch in time when being tightened. After the strong wire is loosened, the bent pipe converging device can automatically return under the action of the bent pipe converging device lifting spring, and the take-up state of a wire wheel is recovered.
Fish Stick Assembly
A fish stick includes a light emitting component, such as a lighted tip, near the leading end of the fish stick. The lighted tip includes a curved lens that directs some light around an attachment piece at the end of the fish stick and generally in the forward direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fish stick. The fish stick may be made of a phosphorescent material and stored in a lit container with an LED and reflective surfaces. The fish stick may be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other and include a spring biasing element that increases the coefficient of friction between the threads of the rods. The fish stick may also be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other via collars.
Hand-held cable manipulation accessory
A threading accessory comprising a belt and two rotatable wheels configured to revolve the belt which has a circumferential groove formed in an outer face thereof and configured to receive and hold a portion of a thread therein. One or more press-wheels are used to engage a portion of the belt passing between the rotating wheels and elastically deform the belt portion to thereby at least partially wrap it about and latch the thread portion inside in the circumferential groove for propulsion by the belt.
Method and equipment for the installation of a power cable in a tunnel
An embodiment describes a method for installing a single power cable span in a tunnel having an entrance and an exit. The method includes positioning a head portion of the single power cable span near the entrance and laying the single power cable span in the tunnel past the exit. The laying of the single power cable span comprises repeating a plurality of sub-steps until the head portion reaches an endpoint outside the tunnel. The plurality of sub-steps includes connecting a trolley at the entrance in a slidable manner on a rail longitudinally extending along the tunnel between the entrance and the exit, joining the trolley to a pulling rope and to the single power cable span, and moving the trolley along the rail by pulling the pulling rope by a predetermined length. Another embodiment relates to an equipment for installing a single cable span in a tunnel.
Power driver device for fish tape
A method and device are disclosed for driving a fish tape. In some embodiments, a portion of the fish tape is loaded into a driver device. Optionally, an actuator connected to the driver device moves the tape longitudinally with respect to the driver device. For example, a distal portion of the tape and/or a distal tip thereof is driven out from and/or into an exit opening of the driver device. Optionally by retaining exit opening of the driver device near an opening of a conduit, the driver drives the distal tip of the tape into or out of the conduit. In some embodiment the tape is driven by a friction wheel. In some embodiment, power is supplied by a power tool (e.g. a power screwdriver) that is reversibly attached to the driver.
