Device for Capturing a Line
20200127449 · 2020-04-23 ·

A device for capturing a line passed into a cavity on a first side of a structure and retrieving the line through to a second side of the structure, the device comprising: (a) a first conduit adapted to define a pathway between the first and second sides of the structure and including: first and second lateral guide members that are opposed and each define a first surface that extends into and along the inside of the first conduit; (b) a mounting member for the first conduit; and (c) a resiliently flexible member capable of being passed through the first conduit and defining a stem portion and a loop portion in the cavity to capture said line.

Fish Tape Roller Head
20200112149 · 2020-04-09 ·

A fish tape roller head for guiding fish tape through a conduit includes a head body having a top side, a bottom side, a back side, and a right arm and a left arm forming a U-shaped front side. Each of the right arm and the left arm have an axle aperture extending through from an outside edge to an inside edge. The back side has a threaded aperture extending towards the front side that is configured to receive a fish tape. An axle is coupled to the head body by being coupled through the axle aperture of each of the right and the left arm and extending therebetween. A spherical rollerball is coupled to the axle and has a through hole axially extending therethrough. The through hole receives the axle such that the rollerball is rotatable around the axle between the right arm and the left arm.

Wire Hook

A wire hook having a body portion adapted to connect to a fish rod set comprising two opposed hook members configured to engage a wire or rod in an open position and secure said wire or rod in a locked position such that the wire or rod may be lifted and pulled once from the other end of the fish rod.

Repurposing Pipeline for Electrical Cable

The disclosure relates to the field of electric power infrastructure and repurposing existing oil and gas pipeline, or other pipelines which are no longer in use for their original purpose, for installation of conduits and electrical cables/conduits, typically underground, for electric power transmission.

Threading device suitable for building electrical pipeline

Disclosed is a threading device suitable for a building electrical pipeline. The threading device comprises a fan, a take-up and pay-off main machine and a connecting hose. A take-up state induction mechanism mainly composed of a bent pipe converging device, a first rotating shaft, a bent pipe converging device lifting spring and a first microswitch is creatively arranged in a ventilation bin. When a strong wire is tightened, the bent pipe converging device is easy to rotate along with tightening of the strong wire, and the strong wire makes contact with the first microswitch in time when being tightened. After the strong wire is loosened, the bent pipe converging device can automatically return under the action of the bent pipe converging device lifting spring, and the take-up state of a wire wheel is recovered.

Method and equipment for the installation of a power cable in a tunnel

An embodiment describes a method for installing a single power cable span in a tunnel having an entrance and an exit. The method includes positioning a head portion of the single power cable span near the entrance and laying the single power cable span in the tunnel past the exit. The laying of the single power cable span comprises repeating a plurality of sub-steps until the head portion reaches an endpoint outside the tunnel. The plurality of sub-steps includes connecting a trolley at the entrance in a slidable manner on a rail longitudinally extending along the tunnel between the entrance and the exit, joining the trolley to a pulling rope and to the single power cable span, and moving the trolley along the rail by pulling the pulling rope by a predetermined length. Another embodiment relates to an equipment for installing a single cable span in a tunnel.

Automated cable runner

An automated cable runner (ACR) for a cabling tray. The ACR includes a pathway, a carriage operable to travel along the pathway, a plurality of supports connectable to the pathway and connectable to the tray and configured to support the pathway over the tray, and a cable holder attached to the carriage. The carriage is operable to autonomously travel along the pathway from a desired start point to a desired end point to deploy cabling into the tray from the start point to the end point.

INSTALLATION OF SIGNAL CABLES THROUGH COILED TUBING USING DISSOLVABLE BULLETS
20190326735 · 2019-10-24 ·

Methods for installing a signal cable through a coiled tubing strand include installing a front end bullet at a leading end of the signal cable and dissolvable bullets at intermediate locations along the signal cable. A pushing fluid is injected into the coiled tubing strand to apply a drive force to both the front end bullet and the dissolvable bullets to thereby advance the signal cable through the coiled tubing strand. Once the front end bullet passes through the coiled tubing strand, the front end bullet may be removed, and a solvent fluid is injected to remove the dissolvable bullets inside coiled tubing strand. The dissolvable bullets permit the pushing fluid to greater drag forces to advance the signal cable, while reducing the friction generated between the signal cable and an inner wall of the coiled tubing strand that usually act in a direction opposite the drag forces.

DRAW WIRE APPARATUS

A draw wire apparatus, including: a rod and a motor for rotating the rod; a thread extending from the rod, for being attached to a draw wire, and shaped for advancing thereof upon the rotation of the rod; and an oil pump characterized in being operated by the rotation of the rod, and disposed adjacent to the draw wire, thereby drawing oil onto, thereby the motor lubricates the draw wire and as well advances thereof.

AUTOMATED CABLE RUNNER

A method of deploying cabling in a tray using an automated cable runner (ACR). The ACR includes a pathway, a carriage operable to travel along the pathway, a plurality of supports connectable to the pathway and connectable to the tray and configured to support the pathway over the tray, and a cabling holder attached to the carriage. The carriage includes a drive wheel structured and arranged to contact the pathway, a motor operable to rotate the drive wheel, and a power source connected to motor. The method includes attaching the carriage to the pathway, connecting an end of a cabling to the cabling holder, and powering the motor to rotate the drive wheel to drive the carriage to travel along the pathway from a desired start point to a desired end point to deploy cabling into the tray from the start point to the end point.
