A closure system for a shoe includes a single shoelace which can be secured and tightened through the use of one hand. The shoe includes a button around which the shoelace is wrapped to facilitate easy removal of the shoe. In one embodiment one end of the shoelace is secured under the upper of the shoe near the toe and a second end of the shoelace is secured in a slider that is slidably mounted on the rear of the shoe to provide micro-adjustments of the tightness of the shoe. Alternatively, the shoe includes a strip of piping around the rear of the shoe and a slider in which the second end of the shoelace is secured slides along the piping when the user wants to make micro-adjustments.

A shoelace tracking assembly includes a belt that can be worn around a person's waist. A bracelet is provided that can be worn on a person's wrist. A shoe lace is provided that can be laced into a shoe. A personal electronic device is provided that is in wireless communication with an extrinsic communication network. A plurality of tracking units is each attachable to a respective one of the shoe lace, the belt and the bracelet. Each of the tracking units is in wireless communication with a global positioning system to determine the physical location of the shoe lace, the belt and the bracelet. Moreover, each of the tracking units is in wireless communication with the personal electronic device to facilitate a caregiver to track the location of the person wearing the shoe, the belt or the bracelet.

In this way the ring abuts against an article of clothing through which the lace is extended. A plurality of engagements is each coupled to the ring to engage the lace. Each of the engagements is positioned at an angle in the ring such that the lace can be urged in a first direction through the ring but is inhibited from is urged in a second direction through the ring. In this way the lace is retained at a chosen tightness.

Each of the protrusions or pincers can be deformed to fit through the openings on each side of one of the decorative elements after which the protrusions or pincers will return to a non-deformed shape and secure the attachment with decorative element in the article. A multicolored aglet connected to a shoelace has a unit slice, a pattern layer, and a white background layer. The unit slice is formed into two aglet bodies that are respectively sheathed on two ends of the shoelace, and has a mounting portion. The mounting portion of the unit slice is stuck to an outer side of the unit slice. The pattern layer is printed on and covers the inner side of the unit slice excluding the mounting portion, and is located between the unit slice and the shoelace. The white background layer is printed on the pattern layer and is located between the pattern layer and the shoelace. A method for producing the multicolored aglet is also provided.
