Ground Level Primary Electric Distribution System
20220216682 · 2022-07-07 ·

A ground level primary electrical distribution system deploys terrain mounted or essentially terrain flush pipes that protect suppress ignition from fires that may occur if components fail within the pipes. The pipes can be deployed in remote and rugged terrain where overhead power lines poses fire risks from wind damage and it is impractical and disruptive to bury the electricity conducting cable or deployed along roadways or field at ground level or essentially flush with the ground to avoid excavation yet avoid the use of overhead power lines that can be subject to damage from high wind. The pipes can follow the terrain between junctions over rigid segments formed by a plurality of end-to-end coupled enclosures, while the conductors are protected within jacketing or flow through flexible insulating and isolating conduits within the more rigid pipes.

WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a wiring protection device. The wiring protection device can comprise a first shell and second shell that are operably coupled with each other in a rotational engagement. The orientation, shape and hollow body of the respective shells allow for wiring to be guided through the device to a wiring coupler disposed in the second shell. Disposing the wiring and coupler(s) inside the body of the device can provide protection from contaminants during use and assembly, such as dirt, water, grease, and paint.

The invention relates to a connection system consisting of a first connection element and a second connection element and a linking element which is provided in order to link two devices. The first connection element and the second connection element are preferably formed as plug-in connectors and the linking element is provided in the form of a cable-sheath assembly which carries cables and lines. The advantageous teaching according to the invention allows connection systems of this type to be designed such that the cables and lines provided in the linking element and a sheath surrounding same are not mechanically overloaded, even under heavy mechanical loads, preferably tensile loads.

Snap fit electrical fitting for ninety degree connection of electrical cables to an electrical box
11271379 · 2022-03-08 · ·

A ninety degree electrical fitting for connecting electrical cable to an electrical box. The ninety degree electrical fitting includes a connector body with a leading end and a trailing end, a snap ring connected to the leading end, and a clip member connected to the trailing end. A leading flange and a box engagement flange on the leading end of the connector body define a means for retaining the snap ring on the connector body. A clip member connected to the connector body provides a means for securing an electrical cable to the trailing end of the fitting. Internal walls on the connector body define an internal passageway having a wide turn radius, to enable wiring leads from an electrical cable to pass easily through the internal passageway of the connector body. The ninety degree snap fit electrical fitting provides good electrical continuity between the outer sheath of an electrical cable, the electrical box, and the fitting.
