Junction box for electrical wiring
A junction box for electrical wiring includes a housing and a base plate. The housing is adapted to removably connect with the base plate to house the electrical connection. The base plate is secured to a support beam to provide stability to the junction box. The housing and the base plate are either of a unitary structure, or include tabs and/or attachment flanges that provide additional access and stability to the electrical connection, while reducing strain. The junction box may be secured to the support beam via a telescoping bar hanger.
Protective outlet cover with detachable safety attachment
A safety assembly having a cover plate for mounting to a pre-existing electrical receptacle and a safety housing for removably attaching to the cover plate. The safety housing is a unitary construction having a front end and a back-end wall with four side walls extending therebetween to provide an open interior, wherein the front end is substantially open and configured for securing to the cover plate. The cover plate has one or more pairs of slots positioned near an opening in the cover plate for exposing a socket of the electrical receptacle and the safety housing comprises one or more attachment mechanisms configured to removably engage with the one or more pairs of slots to removably couple the safety housing the cover plate.
Electrical power unit
An electrical power unit or electronic data unit includes an outer housing, a circuit board positioned inside the outer housing, a frame inserted inside the outer housing, and a face plate fitted over the outer housing. The circuit board supports, for example, a high voltage AC electrical receptacle, a low voltage DC electrical receptacle, and a switch, each of which is electrically connected to the circuit board. The frame defines a plurality of outlet openings for receiving respective one of the AC electrical receptacle, the DC electrical receptacle, and the switch. The face plate defines outer receptacle openings that align with respective outlet openings of the frame to provide access to the respective AC electrical receptacle, DC electrical receptacle, and switch.
Adjustable in-ground utilities box assembly
An adjustable in-ground box assembly is configured to form a protective enclosure for an in-ground utilities device. The adjustable in-ground box assembly includes an outer box and an inner box. A reinforced vertical interior fastener panel is formed with a wall of the outer box, and includes a number of pre-formed outer box fastener holes arranged in spaced apart vertical columns. The inner box includes a number of inner box fastener holes arranged in a horizontal row. The height of the in-ground box assembly is vertically adjusted by aligning the inner box fastener holes with horizontally-situated outer box fastener holes at a selected height on the vertical fastener panel. The tilt of the in-ground box assembly is adjusted by aligning the inner box fastener holes with selected diagonally-situated outer box fastener holes.

JUNCTION BOX COVER AND LIGHTING FIXTURE ASSEMBLY
A junction box cover assembly for attachment over an opening in an electrical junction box allows for a concealed connection to avoid detracting from the lighting fixture. The assembly includes a cover plate capable of being mounted to a junction box, the cover plate having an opening there through defined by a first threaded collar extending from the cover plate, a hub having a flange radially extending from a periphery of a second threaded collar defining a passage and configured to attach to the first threaded collar of the cover plate, and a circular insert detachably connected within the passage defined by the threaded collar, the circular insert having an opening for passing electrical wiring from the junction box through the passage, out the insert opening and to a light fixture. The cover plate and the radially extending flange somewhat sandwich a surface, such as drywall or wallboard, and the flange is configured to permit covering with spackling paste or joint compound to conceal the flange.

Swing lid horizontal surface cover
A horizontal surface cover with a cover plate, at least one opening, and at least one access door. The cover plate is configured to cover an electrical device within an electrical box. The at least one opening extends through the cover plate and is sized to allow access to the electrical device through the at least one opening. The at least one access door is sized and shaped to fit within the at least one opening, and has a hinge with a hinge axis. The at least one access door is configured to translate along the hinge axis and rotate about the hinge axis to move between a closed position and an open position. The at least one access door is aligned with and inside of the at least one opening when in the closed position, and is misaligned with the at least one opening when in the open position.

Retrofit remote control device mounting assembly
A remote control device may be mounted to a structure. The remote control device may include a control unit, a base, a faceplate, an adapter, and a mounting plate. The adapter may be configured to be attached to the faceplate. The adapter may be configured to be secured to the structure. The mounting plate may float between the adapter and the structure when the adapter is secured to the structure. The mounting plate may include a frame, a mounting tab, and a plurality of spring arms. The mounting tab may extend from the frame, for example, a platform on the frame. The mounting tab may be configured to prevent rotation of the base of the remote control device when the base is attached to the mounting plate. The plurality of spring arms may be configured to bias the mounting tab away from the structure.
