A suction motor assembly may include a motor, a suction body (e.g., an impeller such as an axial or radial impeller), and a magnetic transmission configured to transfer rotational motion from the motor to the suction body. A surface treatment apparatus may include a debris collector and a suction motor assembly. The suction motor assembly may include a motor, a suction body (e.g., an impeller such as an axial or radial impeller), and a magnetic transmission configured to transfer rotational motion from the motor to the suction body.

Liquid damper system

A liquid damper system for restraining vibrations generated in a rotating body includes: a liquid damper which is coaxially rotatable with the rotating body and includes a collision member, the collision member being provided in a casing in which liquid is enclosed and the liquid colliding with the collision member when moving in the circumferential direction; and a relative rotation unit configured to cause the liquid damper to rotate relative to the rotating body. Vibrations of a rotating body are effectively suppressed when a rotating body steadily rotates at a main resonance frequency, in the liquid damper system.

Magnetic clutch arrangement for connecting an output shaft (1) of a drive (10) to a drive shaft (2) of a working machine (20), having a hub (11, 21), the hub (11, 21) has a hollow space (12, 22); a first set of magnets (13, 23) is arranged in the hollow space (12, 22); having a cardan shaft head (14, 24) which is arranged in the hollow space (12, 22) in the hub (11, 21); a second set of magnets (15, 25) is arranged on the circumference of the cardan shaft head (14, 24); the cardan shaft head (14, 24) and the hub (11, 21) are coupled either to the drive shaft (2) or output shaft (1) so as to transmit torque; the cardan shaft head (14, 24) is tilted through an angle in the hollow space (12, 22) of the hub (11, 21), so that an asymmetrical gap (50) is formed between the hub (11, 21) and the cardan shaft head (14, 24).

LATCH ACTIVATION BETWEEN MEMBERS

Described herein is a system, method of use and Self Retracting Lifeline (SRL) apparatus using a system that governs a dynamic response between members causing a halt in relative motion between the members. Magnetic interactions, eddy current drag forces and centrifugal and/or inertial forces may provide various mechanisms of governing movement.

MAGNETICALLY-COUPLED TORQUE-ASSIST APPARATUS
20200386289 · 2020-12-10 ·

A magnetically-coupled torque assist apparatus includes a movable (rotor) magnet configured to rotate about a rotor magnet axis extending through the rotor magnet, and a stationary (stator) magnet. The rotor magnet and the stator magnet have a gap therebetween. There is an equilibrium state position (ESP) of the rotor magnet where forces acting on the rotor magnet are balanced such that the rotor magnet is stationary about the rotor magnet axis. And when the rotor magnet is rotated from the equilibrium state position (ESP) to an elastically stressed state position (SSP), magnetic fields of the rotor magnet and the stator magnet generate a resultant magnetic force on the movable magnet that biases the movable magnet towards the equilibrium state position. In some embodiments, the stator and rotor magnets are configured to create a Halbach-effect magnetic field bloom, which contributes to the magnetic forces.

A brake system is disclosed. The brake system includes a brake stack having a stack closure pressure, a force member positioned within a cylinder, a valve configured to control the fluid pressure of the brake system, and one or more pressure transducers that generate a proportional electrical signal representative of fluid pressure within the cylinder. The brake system also includes one or more processors in electronic communication with the valve, the one or more pressure transducers, and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The memory stores data comprising a database and program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the brake system to determine the stack closure pressure of the brake stack.

MAGNETIC GEAR USING CAN

A magnetic gear using a can and the magnetic gear includes: an inner rotor formed with inner spaces where magnets are respectively disposed therein; a guide can surrounding the circumference of the inner rotor; and an outer rotor surrounding the circumference of the guide can. In particular, the guide can is in contact with the inner rotor, thereby securing the rigidity of the inner rotor.

MAGNETIC COUPLING
