Low pop-click noise class-D amplifier
A class-D amplifier with low pop-click noise is shown. A loop filter, a control signal generator, a first power driver, and a first feedback circuit are provided within the class-D amplifier to establish a first loop for signal amplification. The class-D amplifier further has a settling circuit and a pre-charging circuit. The settling circuit is configured to be combined with the loop filer and the control signal generator to establish a second loop to settle the loop filter and the control signal generator before the first loop is enabled. The pre-charging circuit is configured to pre-charge a positive output terminal and a negative output terminal of the first power driver.
DC-DC converter
A DC-DC converter according to an embodiment is a DC-DC converter for generating an output voltage VOUT according to a reference voltage VREF, and includes a fully differential amplifier that outputs a first differential output signal and a second differential output signal according to a differential input using the reference voltage VREF and the output voltage VOUT, a pulse width modulation signal generation circuit that generates a pulse width modulation signal based on the first differential output signal Vout1 and the second differential output signal Vout2, and a driver that outputs a driving signal obtained by waveform-shaping the pulse width modulation signal.

Class D amplifier circuitry comprising: modulator circuitry; and output stage circuitry, wherein the modulator circuitry is configured to: receive an input signal and first and second carrier signals, wherein the second carrier signal is offset in amplitude with respect to the first carrier signal; generate first and second modulated output signals, each of the first and second modulated output signals being based on the input signal and the first and second carrier signals; and generate a plurality of control signals for the output stage circuitry per signal period of the modulated output signals, wherein the plurality of control signals are based on the first and second modulated output signals, and wherein at least one of the plurality of control signals per signal period comprises a signal level transition.
Class-G control system with low latency signal path
Systems and methods include a digital control module that receives and processes audio data for output through a loudspeaker. An analog block receives the audio data and the power control signal and amplifies the audio data for output. A first processing path includes a buffer to delay the audio data, a first component to combine the buffered audio data and anti-noise. A second processing path includes an absolute value block to receive the audio data and an envelope detector to receive the absolute value data and generate a maximum value for the envelope. An anti-noise path includes an absolute value block configured to determine an anti-noise absolute value which is combined with the absolute value anti-noise data. A power generator receives the output from the envelope detector and updates a power level to approximate a minimum powered needed to process the audio signal.
Ampilfier with VCO-based ADC
An amplifier includes an input circuit configured to receive an analog input signal and a feedback signal, and output an analog error signal based on the analog input signal and the feedback signal. An ADC is configured to convert the analog error signal into a digital signal in a phase domain. A digital control circuit is configured to generate a digital control signal based on the digital signal in the phase domain. An output circuit is configured to generate an amplified output signal based on the digital control signal, and a feedback circuit is configured generate the feedback signal based on the amplified output signal.

A method of regulating power supply to a speaker and a system for regulating power supply to a speaker comprising a generating of a low frequency signal output to the speaker, sensing a current and a voltage of the speaker after the low frequency signal is output to the speaker, measuring an impedance of the speaker based on the current and voltage, determining a temperature of the speaker and comparing with a threshold value, and lowering a power supply to the speaker where the temperature is above the threshold value.

Overdriving of the amplifier is prevented by limiting the test signal applied to the amplifier below a predefined threshold value.
