Gaming system and gaming table

A gaming system for card games is provided. The gaming system includes a plurality of gaming cards and a processor. Each of the gaming cards has a recognition code. The processor is configured to: generate a correspondence between the recognition codes of the gaming cards and a plurality of card faces; obtain an image of the gaming card placed in a recognition area captured by an image capturing device; recognize the recognition code in the image to generate game data according to a recognition result and the correspondence; and generate a game screen to be displayed by a display according to the game data. In addition, a gaming table is also provided.

RUGGEDIZED REMOTE CONTROL DISPLAY LATENCY AND LOSS OF SIGNAL DETECTION FOR HARSH AND SAFETY-CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTS

Systems, methods, and apparatuses are disclosed for overcoming latency and loss of signal detection in remote control displays. An exemplary system includes a remote control, a host computing device, and one or more target systems communicatively coupled to each other over a wired and/or wireless network. One method includes receiving, by the remote control and from a host computing device, a first video frame captured by a target device, determining a first time corresponding to receipt of the first video frame, receiving, from the host computing device, a second video frame, determining a second time corresponding to receipt of the second video frame, comparing the time difference to a latency threshold, and causing an alert graphic element to be displayed indicating a latency in communication.

In a case where an attitude is included in a predetermined first range at a timing when a predetermined instruction operation is made by use of an input device, an instruction operation is determined to be successful. In a case where the attitude is included in a second range outside the first range at the timing of the instruction operation, it is further determined that the instruction operation is successful in a case where within a predetermined time period after the timing, the attitude is included in the first range or a third range including at least a part of the first range, and further the operation device is put into a still state or a state of moving by a predetermined amount or less.

A non-limiting example game system includes a game apparatus, and a terminal device and a television are connected to the game apparatus. A game image to be displayed on the television is an image that various kinds of objects arranged in a virtual space are imaged by a virtual camera. A determination object of a three-dimensional shape in a traveling direction of a player object is sequentially moved from a start position that differs for each time to a target position that is decided according to a predetermined rule, and terrain (inclination and height of the ground) in the traveling direction of the player object based on a principal component analysis of a plurality of positions that the determination object collides with a terrain object is determined.
