POSITION ADJUSTMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATION CONTROL, TERMINAL, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A position adjustment method and apparatus for an operation control, a terminal, and a storage medium. The method includes: displaying a user interface of a game session based on a starting operation for the game session, switching a first operation control from a fixed state to an adjustable state based on a first state switching operation, adjusting, in the adjustable state, a display position of the first operation control based on an adjustment operation for the first operation control, and controlling, in the adjustable state, a virtual object in the game session to perform an action corresponding to the first operation control based on a trigger operation for the first operation control.

Remote networked services for providing contextual game guidance based on a user objective

Computer-implemented systems and methods for providing contextual game guidance are described herein. An example method includes determining based on contextual information regarding an application an objective of the user; automatically deriving based on the contextual information and the objective contextual guidance to assist the user; generating a user interface having the contextual guidance; and transmitting the user interface to a client device.

VIRTUAL OBJECT SELECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Provided are a virtual object selection method and apparatus, a terminal, and a storage medium, belonging to the field of computer and Internet technologies. When a client controls a first virtual object to perform a first operation, and a plurality of second virtual objects are distributed densely in an execution range of the first operation, the client offsets logical positions of the plurality of second virtual objects to ensure that the plurality of second virtual objects may be distinguished and a target virtual object is selected from the plurality of second virtual objects based on offset logical positions. Accordingly, a user is prevented from spending much time to select the target virtual object from the execution range of the first operation, thereby reducing operation time costs of the user and improving the operation efficiency.

Assignment of contextual game play assistance to player reaction

The present disclosure describes methods and systems directed towards assignment of contextual gameplay assistance to player reaction. By analyzing user gameplay and reactions of a user, appropriate gameplay assistance (such as hints, advice, or walk-through information) can be assigned for different thresholds associated with levels of frustration that users can obtain regarding different obstacles found within the video games. The system and methods allow for customization of what type of gameplay assistance can be provided to each user as each user may have different thresholds of frustration or preferences regarding the types of assistance they would like to receive within the video game.

Intent-based Models for Use in Selecting Actions in Video Games
20210362054 · 2021-11-25 ·

This specification describes a computer-implemented method of generating an intent-based model for use in selecting actions in a video game. The method comprises initializing a graph comprising a plurality of nodes. Each node of the plurality of nodes represents a state of an entity in the video game. The method further comprises adding one or more edges to the graph. Each edge of the one or more edges represents a transition from a first state to a second state. The method further comprises determining, for each node of the plurality of nodes, a distance to each other node, comprising performing a path-finding algorithm on the graph. The method further comprises determining one or more outcome nodes. Each outcome node represents an outcome state of the entity. The method further comprises scoring the one or more outcome nodes, comprising, for each outcome node, determining a score based on an outcome of the outcome node. The method further comprises scoring the plurality of nodes of the graph. Scoring the plurality of nodes of the graph comprises, for each node of the plurality of nodes, and for each outcome out of a set of outcomes, determining whether one or more outcome nodes for the outcome are immediately available from the node; and when one or more outcome nodes for the outcome are immediately available from the node, scoring the outcome for the node using the scores of the one or more outcome nodes. The method further comprises, for each node of the graph, and for each outcome out of the set of outcomes, determining a distance from the node to a highest scoring outcome node for the outcome.

Aspects of the disclosure generally relate to computing devices and may be generally directed to devices, systems, methods, and/or applications for learning the operation of a computing device or software application, storing this knowledge in a knowledgebase, neural network, or other repository, and enabling autonomous operation of the computing device or software application with partial, minimal, or no user input.

Virtual camera placement system

A virtual camera placement system is provided which includes a user input device configured to receive user input and a display device configured to display images captured by a virtual camera. The virtual camera placement system further includes non-volatile memory configured to store instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to generate a three-dimensional simulation including a plurality of challenge points for a user, navigate the simulation including the challenge points in response to the user input, and control the virtual camera in the simulation differently in a plurality of camera stages based on at least the user input and an outcome of navigating one or more of the challenge points.

Control method for virtual controlled object, apparatus, storage medium, and electronic apparatus

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for controlling a virtual controlled object performed at a terminal. The method includes: detecting a first target operating instruction produced by a first touch operation while a client is running a game on the terminal; in response to the first target operating instruction, controlling a virtual controlled object in the game to move toward a target direction; and while controlling the virtual controlled object to move toward the target direction, controlling, by the terminal, the virtual controlled object to continue to movement toward the target direction after detecting that the first touch operation is lost. The embodiments of the present disclosure resolve a technical problem of low efficiency of controlling a virtual controlled object in the related art.
