GENERATING MARK INFORMATION ON A VIRTUAL OBJECT
A method for generating mark information in a virtual environment includes displaying a target-perspective picture showing the virtual environment, a sight bead pointing to an aiming position, and receiving a mark operation triggered on a mark control interface. The method further includes, in response to receiving the mark operation, generating, according to the received mark operation, mark information on a virtual object to which the aiming position points. The virtual object on which the mark information is generated is a movable object, a virtual prop, a virtual building, or a virtual landscape object in the virtual environment. The generated mark information is visible at a position of the virtual object in the virtual environment to one or more teammates of the virtual character.
Video game with bounded region capture and ownership value swap
A control program for a game device having a storage unit configured to store points associated with players. The game device may receive a request by a player to designate at least a portion of the points associated with the first player as region points of the first player, which may in turn be correlated with a game region designated by the first player. When the first player has the most points for a particular game region, the game region may be set to be a region of the first player. When the first player disposes a first and second game region in a predetermined arrangement, such that the first and second game region has game regions between them, the game regions between the first and second game region may have their point values swapped to put the first player on top.

Peripersonal boundary-based augmented reality game environment
A method of providing an augmented reality game environment within a game space includes obtaining, by a processor, sensor data for the game space, determining, by the processor, a position of a player in the game space based on the sensor data, generating, by the processor, player image data of a peripersonal boundary of the player based on the determined position of the player for rendering a representation of the peripersonal boundary in the game space, the peripersonal boundary being disposed about, and spaced from, the determined position, obtaining, by the processor, player data for the player via an input modality, the player data being indicative of a player directive to modulate the peripersonal boundary, adjusting, by the processor, a size of the peripersonal boundary as a function of the player data, and updating, by the processor, the player image data based on the adjusted size of the peripersonal boundary.
Aiming display automation for head mounted display applications
A method for user interaction when gaming. The method including rendering a normal view of a virtual environment of a video game for display in an HMD of a user. The method including detecting a pose of a user holding a first controller and a second controller indicating that a virtual weapon is being held. The method including detecting that the pose of the user is raised to a firing position. The method including detecting that the pose of the user is in alignment with a face of the user. The method including detecting that a first eye of the user is closed. The method including detecting an object in the virtual environment being targeted by the pose that is in alignment with the face of the user. The method including rendering a magnified view of the object being targeted in the virtual environment for display in the HMD.
Program, electronic device, and method for simulating a joystick in a virtual space
One or more embodiments of the invention is a program that is executed on an electronic device, the program causing the electronic device to execute: holding data points indicated by values on a first axis and values on a second axis, obtained on the basis of touch events; terminating the holding of a data point for which a predefined holding period has expired among the held data points; determining the slope of a regression line on the basis of the held data points; determining an amount of rotation by which the determined slope of the regression line is to be rotated, on the basis of a displacement direction of the set of the held data points; and determining an angle by which the user controls an object being operated in a virtual space, on the basis of the determined slope of the regression line and the determined amount of rotation.
Recording medium and information processing apparatus
A computer readable recording medium storing a program that is executed by a processor. The program causes the processor to acquire touch position information on a touch panel, identify a first position based on the touch position information, if the touch position is in a first input region for receiving an input instruction in a first operation direction in a touch period during which continuous touching of the touch panel is carried out, and the touch position satisfies a first condition, identify a second position based on the touch position information, if the touch position is in a second input region for receiving an input of an instruction in a second operation direction in the touch period, and the touch position satisfies a second condition, and determine positions of the first input region and the second input region, based on the first position and the second position.
