In a method by which a terminal transmits an uplink or receives a downlink according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method comprises the steps of: transmitting a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) to a base station on the basis of detection of a beam failure in at least one resource group from among a plurality of resource groups; receiving a response to the BFRQ from the base station; and transmitting information related to the beam failure to the base station, wherein the information related to the beam failure may indicate a specific resource group in which the beam failure is detected or the plurality of resource groups in which the beam failure is detected.

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes a transceiver and a processor. The transceiver receives information about an antenna system of a base station. The information includes a number of collocated antenna groups, and a number of antenna modules for each type of antenna modules in each of the collocated antenna groups. A collocated antenna group has at least two types of antenna modules: a first module with first antenna type and a second module with second antenna type. The transceiver also receives configuration information for a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource. The transceiver also receives a CSI-RS based on the configuration information and acquires measurements. The processor determines a subset of antenna modules based on a comparison between the measurements and a criterion. The processor generates CSI for the subset of antenna modules. The transceiver transmits a CSI report comprising the CSI.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide method, device and computer readable medium for beam failure recovery. In example embodiments, a method implemented at a terminal device is provided. The method comprises determining a configuration for receiving Physical Downlink Control Channels (PDCCHs) from a network device, the network device communicating with the terminal device via first and second Transmission and Reception Points (TRPs), wherein the configuration indicates which one of the first and second TRPs are the PDCCHs to be received from. The method further comprises determining whether a beam failure occurs in at least one of the first and second TRPs. In addition, the method further comprises, in response to determining that a beam failure occurs in at least one of the first and second TRPs, performing beam failure recovery (BFR) for the first and second TRPs at least based on the configuration.

The method further comprises mapping, by the first base station, at least a portion of PTRS information of the first base station to a first set of the frequency resources, mapping, by the first base station, a zero-power PTRS to a second set of the frequency resources, or leaving, by the first base station, the second set of frequency resources empty, and transmitting, by the first base station, a signal comprising the PTRS information of the first base station according to the frequency resource mapping. The method further comprises mapping, by the second base station, at least a portion of PTRS information of the second base station to the second set of the frequency resources, mapping, by the second base station, a zero-power PTRS to the first set of the frequency resources, or leaving, by the second base station, the first set of frequency resources empty, and transmitting, by the second base station, a signal comprising the PTRS information of the second base station according to the frequency resource mapping.
