Transmitter and transmitting method increasing the flexibility of code assignment

According to the present invention a transmitter and a transmitting method for communicating data symbols over a communication channel, for example, according to the CDMA system is presented. The transmitter (24, 25) comprises means (9) for spreading each data symbol with a respective spreading code, wherein the spreading codes are mutually orthogonal. Means (10) for scrambling are provided to scramble each spread symbol with a respective scrambling code, the scrambling codes respectively having the same length as the spreading codes. Furthermore, means (11) for the transmission of the spread and scrambled symbols are provided. According to the present invention the means (10) for scrambling are provided with a plurality of different scrambling codes, which can be used simultaneously within the same link.

A method for wireless communication at a network access device includes transmitting an indication of at least one receive capability of the network access device; receiving, from a UE, a first message of a RACH procedure; and transmitting a RAR message to the UE in response to receiving the first message. The RAR message has a format based at least in part on the at least one receive capability of the network access device.

A system for validating wireless communication network inventory software. The system comprises a processor, a non-transitory memory, and an application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the application processes a first data set with the first version of the software system to produce an authoritative data store, processes the first data set with a second version of the software system to produce a first trial data store, and processes a second data set with the second version of the software system to produce a second trial data store, wherein the second data set comprises later data than the first data set, and responsive to determining that the first trial data store matches the authoritative data store and determining that the second trial data store does not match the authoritative data store, designates the second data set changed.

Method for performing random access procedure in wireless communication system

There is provided a method for enabling a user equipment to perform a random access procedure in a wireless communication system. The method includes transmitting a random access preamble and receiving a random access response as a response to the random access preamble. The random access response is addressed by a random access identifier. The random access identifier is mapped to radio resources used for transmitting the random access preamble. The user equipment can immediately confirm its random access response and perform further efficient random access procedure.

The timing offset may be an absolute timing offset or a differential timing offset. The absolute timing offset may be signaled using more bits than the differential timing offset. Subscriber units may receive power control commands from one or more base stations.

The disclosed framework can analyze the operating characteristics of a device (e.g., applications executing, movement, battery level, signal strength and current battery consumption of the device, and the like), which can provide an indication of the device's need for updated location information, and determine a frequency for updating RTK. The method includes: dividing four user equipments into a first cluster and a second cluster each consisting of two user equipments; forming a first cluster signal and a second cluster signal for simultaneous transmission at the base station; establishing a first precoding set and a second precoding set for the first cluster and the second cluster, respectively, by using channel state information between the base station and all the user equipments; selecting a first precoder from the first precoding set and a second precoder from the second precoding set; superposing the first cluster signal multiplied by the first precoder and the second cluster signal multiplied by the second precoder and broadcasting a resulting signal to the user equipments in the first and second cluster.
