System for Simultaneous Delivery of Digital Television and Interactive Broadband Service
20200128281 · 2020-04-23 ·

Delivery of digital television and interactive broadband service are provided in a manner that maximizes the usage of the digital broadcast spectrum. A digital television signal is transmitted to a given broadcast area in a relatively small part of one or more licensed portions of the digital broadcast spectrum. Interactive broadband service is delivered within at least a portion of the same broadcast area covered by the broadcast digital television signal, in the remainder of an unused part of the same licensed portion of the digital broadcast spectrum as is occupied by the digital television signal, or within an unlicensed (unused) portion of the digital broadcast spectrum. The broadcasting of the digital television and delivery the interactive broadband service occur simultaneously. In one embodiment, digital television and broadband service are delivered by the same equipment within the same bandwidth.

ACR-based radio metadata in the cloud

A system comprises a first server including a port, a memory, a processor operatively coupled to the port and memory, and a service application for execution by the processor. The service application is configured to: receive identification information related to an over-the-air radio broadcast via the port of the first server, wherein the identification information is transmitted to the first server using a radio broadcast receiver remote from the first server, communicate a request for automatic content recognition (ACR) of an Internet-based streaming version of the over-the-air radio broadcast; and receive metadata associated with the over-the-air radio broadcast in response to the request and initiate transmission of the metadata to the radio broadcast receiver.

Provided are a method for adjusting a broadcast receiver queue, an apparatus, a storage medium, and an electronic device. The method may include: acquiring a historical parameter of a broadcast receiver; determining whether the historical parameter meets a first predefined condition; when the historical parameter of a first target broadcast receiver in a first broadcast receiver queue meets the first predefined condition, generating a second broadcast receiver queue; and moving the first target broadcast receiver to the second broadcast receiver queue, such that broadcast receivers other than the first target broadcast receiver in the first broadcast receiver queue and the first broadcast receiver in the second broadcast receiver queue may process the broadcast messages in parallel.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IN-VEHICLE LIVE GUIDE GENERATION

A system comprises an intermediate communication platform that provides an interface to an Internet network; and a first server including: a port operatively coupled to the intermediate communication platform, processing circuitry, and a service application for execution by the processor. The service application is configured to: receive audio content recognition information from a first radio receiver of multiple radio receivers via the intermediate communication platform, wherein the audio content recognition information identifies audio content received by the first receiver in a radio broadcast; determine audio metadata associated with the received audio content recognition information; and send the audio metadata to the multiple radio receivers via the intermediate communication platform.

Systems and methods for multi-context media control and playback

A method of remotely controlling an electronic device is disclosed. In some implementations, the method is performed on a server system. The server system receives, from a first electronic device, a first media control request, wherein the first electronic device provides a single user interface that allows a user to both select media content for presentation by the first electronic device and to generate media control requests for transmission to the server system; and the first electronic device also sends a second media control request to a second electronic device over a local area network to which both the first electronic device and the second electronic device are connected. The server system then sends the received first media control request to the second electronic device, distinct from the first electronic device, wherein the server system and the second electronic device are not on the same local area network.
