TIME-MULTIPLEXED OPTICAL LINK WITH DELAY

An apparatus for receiving data, wherein the apparatus is configured to: receive a multiplexed data stream over an optical link, the multiplexed data stream comprising: a first data stream sent from a first transmitter, the first data stream having a minimum time interval between condition changes; a second data stream sent from a second transmitter, the second data stream having the same minimum time interval between condition changes, wherein the second data stream is delayed by a fraction of the minimum time interval relative to the first data stream.

Technique for performing time synchronization

A technique for performing time synchronization between a master device and a slave device is disclosed. A method implementation of the technique is performed by the master device and comprises transmitting, using optical wireless signals, a timestamp representative of a clock time of the master device to the slave device, wherein the timestamp is encoded using a color-based optical coding scheme and is to be used by the slave device to set a clock time of the slave device in accordance with the timestamp to thereby synchronize the clock time of the slave device with the clock time of the master device.

Communications between networked audio devices

An audio device may be connected to a communication network. The audio device may send or receive audio data via a network, based on a network clock that may be synchronized with other audio device connected to the network. The audio device may buffer, convert between digital audio signals and analog audio signals, encrypt, decrypt, packetize, depacketize, compress, and/or decompress audio data using a local asynchronous media clock using a relatively lower precision clocking technology such as a crystal-based oscillator.

SPUR AND NOISE REDUCTION FOR TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

A system for providing a clock signal to a telecommunications is presented. The system has a clock circuit configured to provide a first clock signal having a first frequency and a second clock signal having a second frequency, the second frequency being higher than the first frequency, and an event detector. The event detector is configured to detect a plurality of events in the telecommunications circuit, the plurality of events corresponding to operations performed by components of the telecommunications circuit, control the clock circuit to provide the second clock signal in response to detecting an event of the plurality of events for at least a duration of the event, and control the clock circuit to provide the first clock signal and to stop providing the second clock signal after at least the duration of the event.
