20190314825 · 2019-10-17 · ·

A mulching and chipping attachment includes a deck having a top plate. A cutting disk is attached to the deck. The top plate includes an opening that exposes a portion of the cutting disk. A guide chute is attached to the deck, and is disposed over the opening. The guide chute includes a feed system. The feed system includes a first roller, and a reactionary member operable to react against the first roller to secure a log therebetween. The first roller and the reactionary member cooperate together to grasp and controllably feed the log through the opening. The first roller or the reactionary member may be moveable relative to the other, to adjust a throat distance therebetween. An anvil may be disposed at a rearward edge of the opening, and extend downward to define a chip cutting height between the anvil and the cutting disk.

LAWNMOWER MULCH PLUG RAMPS TO IMPROVE MULCHING PERFORMANCE
20190289781 · 2019-09-26 ·

A lawnmower with a mulch plug with a plurality ramps for deflecting lawn clippings out of a cutting deck with more than one depth planes. The mulch plug is configured to attach to the lawnmower by one or more attachment points to block a collector opening of the lawnmower. The plurality of ramps comprises a first ramp and a second ramp on the lower plane of the cutting deck extending downward from the mulch plug. The second ramp is positioned further in the cutting rotation of the lawnmower on a trailing edge of the mulch plug. The secure attachment of the mulch plug with a plurality of ramps provides a more even distribution of grass clippings.

LAWNMOWER MULCH PLUG FIXING METHOD

The present disclosure is directed to a mulch plug configured to attach to a lawnmower by one or more attachment points, including a snap-fit attachment point. The snap-fit provides a more secure attachment to the lawnmower than attachment mechanisms on existing mulch plugs, in turn providing more even distribution of mulch and less clogging and locking of mower wheels.

MULCH SPREADER
20190289796 · 2019-09-26 ·

The mulch spreader is a piece of lawn maintenance equipment that comprises a rotating mulch dispensing chute and a compressed air mulch loosening feature. The mulch spreader is wheeled and has a hopper that is suspended above the ground on wheel supports. A rotating dispenser chute is situated below the hopper and the rotating action of the chute spreads mulch over a wider area than a simply drop chute would cover. The motor that causes the chute rotation is powered by a rechargeable battery contained within the mulch spreader. The same rechargeable battery also powers an air compressor. Air from the air compressor may be used to loosen mulch in the hopper and to expel mulch from the hopper via an optional external hose.

Mower deck discharge chute with drive belt tunnel

A mower deck discharge chute includes a flexible member attached with a hinge to a multi-blade mower deck, and a drive belt tunnel through the flexible member that an attachment drive belt passes through when the flexible member is pivoted up to a generally vertical position. The attachment drive belt may be on a single plane to engage a drive sheave on the multi-blade mower deck, a driven sheave on the belt driven attachment, and an idler.

The invention provides a closed system for collecting, mulching and storing natural yard waste in a manner that saves time and labor. Storage of the natural yard waste is enabled by use of off the shelf bags instead of customized bags that must be later dumped into a generic storage housing. The system is empowered by a device that is attachable to such off the shelf bags and fully uses their volume so that maximum storage is achieved.

DISCHARGE SHROUD DEVICE FOR MOWER DECK

A discharge shroud device includes a cover element extending outward from a side of a mower deck for covering a discharge opening defined at the side of the mower deck, a shroud support unit for attaching the cover element to the mower deck, a blocking plate provided in the cover element to be swingable between an open position in which the discharge opening is opened and a closed position in which the discharge opening is closed, and an open-position fixing element for fixing the blocking plate to the cover element at the open position.

Mulch kit control lever

A mulch kit control lever includes a handle pivotably mounted to a support plate with a tension spring connecting the handle to the support plate and urging the handle to pivot to either a mulching position or a side discharge position relative to the support plate. The tension spring is connected before the mulch kit control lever is installed on the mower deck. A retainer slides in a slot in one of the support plate and the handle preventing over-travel of the handle past the mulching position and the side discharge position.

Green Area Maintenance System and Method for Identifying at Least a Section of a Boundary Edge of an Area to Be Treated

A green area maintenance system, includes: an autonomous mobile green area maintenance robot having a treatment tool, a cutting tool differing from the treatment tool, wherein the green area maintenance robot and the cutting tool are configured to allow fixing of the cutting tool to the green area maintenance robot, a user control device, an autonomous operation mode and a cutting operation mode, wherein in the autonomous operation mode the autonomous mobile green area maintenance robot with its treatment tool operates autonomously and the cutting tool is set out of operation, and wherein in the cutting operation mode the cutting tool is fixed to the green area maintenance robot and operable. The green area maintenance robot with its treatment tool and the cutting tool are controlled by a user via the user control device, and an operation mode switching device for switching between the autonomous operation mode and the cutting operation mode.
