CONFIGURATION AND SIGNALING FOR DIFFERENT MODULATION ORDERS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for indicating modulation order and code rate for transmissions between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. The base station may configure one or more parameter tables that provide mapping between a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index and the modulation order and code rate. The one or more tables may be explicitly indicated in configuration signaling, may be configured based on a frequency range for communications or a reference signal configuration, or any combinations thereof. The base station may transmit control information to the UE that indicates the MCS index value and that indicates a first table of multiple configured tables is to be used to determine the modulation order and code rate.
Efficient adaptive coding and modulation
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for determining a set of communication parameters for receiving data transmissions. In some implementations, a method includes receiving a first data transmission sent according to a first communication parameter scheme that includes at least one of a first modulation or a first coding. A second data transmission is received. A second communication parameter scheme of the second transmission is determined. This determination includes identifying a subset of multiple candidate communication parameter schemes determined based on the first communication parameter scheme, identifying, in the second data transmission, a first identifier that corresponds to the second communication parameter scheme, comparing the first identifier to a respective identifier for each communication parameter scheme in the subset, and determining, as the second communication parameter scheme, a communication parameter scheme in the subset that has an identifier that matches the first identifier.
Method and Arrangement for Processing a Signal
A wireless communication unit to facilitate determining a plurality of communication link cost metrics at a receiving wireless communication unit using a multiple modulation and coding scheme, MCS, in a wireless mesh network, is described. A transmitter transmits sounding transmissions to at least two neighboring wireless communication units. A processor generates a sounding burst comprising: a plurality of multicast sounding transmissions that employ a different MCS; and a plurality of parameters contained at an application layer protocol level. The plurality of parameters comprises: an intra-burst sequence number for each MCS transmitted within each multicast sounding transmission; an indication of a number of sounding transmissions in the sounding burst; and an index value that references a particular table within a set of tables which is then used to determine a transmission bit rate, B, at the receiving unit for each multicast sounding transmission within the sounding burst.
Systems and methods for adaptive selection of modulation and coding schemes (MCS) including examples of per-sub-band and per-stream MCS selection
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for selecting modulation and coding schemes (MCS) per-sub-band, and in some examples, per-stream. In some examples, channel condition metrics regarding wireless communication conditions from a communication node of a wireless access system may be received. Based at least on the received channel condition metrics, a modulation and coding scheme may be selected. In some examples, the selected modulation and coding scheme may be transmitted to various modulators/demodulators, encoders/decoders, and/or other communication nodes within the wireless access system.
TRANSMISSION PARAMETER SIGNALING FOR HIGHER ORDER MODULATION
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for configuration of one or more parameter tables that provide mapping between channel measurements and a channel quality indicator (CQI), one or more tables that provide mapping between a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index and a modulation order and coding rate, or any combinations thereof. A base station may provide configuration information to a user equipment (UE) that indicates a table size for one or more CQI or MCS tables, and a number of bits that are to be transmitted in control information to indicate an index value for the CQI and/or MCS tables. Alternatively, an existing CQI or MCS table may have entries that are modified based on a modulation order that is supported by the UE, and the base station may provide configuration information that indicates the modified entries.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING OR RECEIVING CONTROL INFORMATION AND DATA IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a fifth generation (5G) or sixth generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system includes receiving, from a base station, channel state information (CSI) report configuration information including a channel quality indicator (CQI) table-related parameter, identifying a CQI table to be used based on the CQI table-related parameter, and transmitting, to the base station, a CQI index using the CQI table. A maximum modulation scheme of the CQI table is 4096 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM).
Direct transport block size specification
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication. An exemplary method generally includes receiving an indication of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to use for transmitting information, wherein the indication of the MCS indicates an MCS index value corresponding to an entry in an MCS lookup table, determining, based on the MCS index value, a transport block size (TBS) to use for transmitting the information, wherein determining the TBS comprises receiving an explicit indication of the TBS to use for transmitting the information, and transmitting the information using the MCS and TBS.
DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, DATA TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A data transmission method, a data transmission device and a storage medium are provided. The data transmission method includes: obtaining a first parameter, in which the first parameter is used for indicating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index; determining a transport block size (TBS) index according to a mapping relationship table of MCS indexes and TBS indexes, in which the mapping relationship table includes a first number of TBS indexes, and a number of TBS indexes with values smaller than a preset TBS index value in the first number of TBS indexes is less than a second number; and determining a TBS according to the determined TBS index.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION FEEDBACK IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An operation method of a base station in a communication system may comprise: transmitting first indication information to a terminal, the first indication information indicating use of a first CQI table among CQI tables; transmitting a first reference signal to the terminal; and receiving first CSI from the terminal, the first CSI including a first CQI index selected within the first CQI table based on the first reference signal, wherein the CQI tables include the first CQI table and a second CQI table, and a spectral efficiency indicated by at least one CQI index within the first CQI table is identical to a spectral efficiency indicated by at least one CQI index within the second CQI table.
