Uplink signaling for cooperative multipoint communication

A method of operating a wireless communication system is disclosed (FIG. 6). The method includes receiving a virtual cell identification (VCID) parameter (600) from a remote transmitter. A base sequence index (BSI) and a cyclic shift hopping (CSH) parameter (604,606) are determined in response to the VCID. A pseudo-random sequence is selected in response to the BSI and CSH (610,612). A reference signal is generated using the selected pseudo-random sequence (614).

Techniques for enhanced machine type communication acknowledgment bundling

Techniques and apparatus for hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) bundling in half duplex frequency division duplexing (HD-FDD) systems are provided. One technique includes determining ACK parameter(s) to be used for acknowledging a bundled transmission that includes instance(s) of a channel across subframe(s). An indication of the ACK parameter(s) is signaled to a user equipment (UE). The ACK parameter(s) include a first ACK parameter that conveys a size of the bundled transmission and a second ACK parameter that conveys an amount of time for the UE to delay acknowledging a data transmission in an instance of the channel after receiving the data transmission. The UE may acknowledge the bundled transmission in accordance with the ACK parameter(s).

Method and apparatus for transmitting different uplink control information in wireless communication system

Methods and apparatuses are provided in which it is determined to transmit a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) with a positive scheduling request (SR) and one or more hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information bits in a PUCCH resource of a PUCCH format 0. A value mcs for a cyclic shift for the PUCCH format 0 is identified based on the positive SR and the one or more HARQ-ACK information bits. The positive SR and the one or more HARQ-ACK information bits are transmitted to the base station in the PUCCH resource of the PUCCH format 0, based on the value mcs.

Outer coding schemes in downlink control information

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure an outer coded block which a user equipment (UE) may implement to recover an unsuccessfully decoded transmission. The base station may send, to the UE, downlink control information (DCI) indicating an outer coding scheme for the group of data blocks (e.g., a first data block and a second data block). The UE may monitor for the data blocks and the outer coded block. The UE may decode the data blocks based on the outer coded block and the outer coding scheme. In some examples, the outer code block may be made up of a combination of the first and second data blocks. The UE may use the combination of the outer coded block and one of the data blocks to decode an unsuccessfully decode data block.

Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving radio signals in a wireless communication system

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for receiving information on a number N of a code block group defined for one transport block from a base station through an upper layer signal, receiving a first transport block including a plurality of code blocks from the base station through a physical layer channel, and transmitting HARQ-ACK payload including HARQ-ACK information on the first transport block to the base station. Preferably, a code block-based CRC is attached to each of the code blocks, a transport block-based CRC is attached to the first transport block, and the HARQ-ACK payload includes a plurality of HARQ-ACK bits corresponding to M code block groups for the first transport block.

Methods and apparatuses for SPS HARQ-ACK transmission

A method by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a radio resource control (RRC) configuration carrying a configuration for a first downlink (DL) channel and an uplink (UL) channel, receiving the first DL channel and a second DL channel, and canceling the UL channel when a timing condition between the first DL channel and the second DL channel is satisfied.

Method for processing uplink control information and terminal

The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5.sup.th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure provides a method for processing uplink control information (UCI) and a terminal. The method for processing UCI includes: determining the UCI which overlaps with a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) resource in time domain according to the PUSCH resource; determining whether to transmit the UCI, and performing corresponding processing based on a determination result. The present disclosure realizes effective transmission of UCI to be transmitted, and improves transmission efficiency.

Joint channel sensing operations for a wireless communication system

A method of wireless communication includes performing, by a user equipment (UE) device, a channel sensing operation during a first window of a frame period associated with a wireless communication network. Performing the channel sensing operation includes performing a direction-based scan of one or more beams associated with the wireless communication network, and the channel sensing operation is included in a joint sensing operation performed with a base station. The method further includes, based at least in part on a result of the channel sensing operation, determining whether to perform, during a second window of the frame period, one or more communication operations with the base station.

Feedback timing

A wireless device receives a downlink control information (DCI) comprising a first field indicating a transition of a cell to a dormant state and a second field indicating a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback timing. The wireless device transmits, in response to the DCI indicating the transition and via a physical uplink control channel resource, a positive acknowledgement of a reception of the DCI at a time interval based on the HARQ feedback timing.

METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING INFORMATION OF AN UNCODED CHANNEL IN AN ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SYSTEM

A method apparatus and system for efficiently transmitting and receiving channels are provided in a wireless communication system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). A multiplexing scheme differs according to a channel when a transmitter transmits a packet data channel, a common control channel and a control channel designated for a particular user. Uncoded 1-bit information is broadly dispersed in frequency and time domains using multiplexing technology for maximizing diversity gain in a channel for transmitting information of at least one bit to a particular user like an acknowledgement (ACK) channel. The transmitter converts a sequence obtained by multiplexing multiple bits to be transmitted to a plurality of users to parallel signals, and broadly disperses the parallel signals in the time and frequency domains. When the uncoded 1-bit information is transmitted, reception reliability is improved because channel coding and transmission are efficiently performed using a small amount of resources.
