CROSS-CORRELATION REDUCTION FOR CONTROL SIGNALS
20190312671 · 2019-10-10 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In accordance with the described techniques, communicating devices (e.g., an encoder and decoder) may apply an orthogonal cover code to a polar codeword to reduce cross-correlation between different codewords. For example, such techniques may reduce power consumption at a decoding device by providing for earlier decoding termination (e.g., as a result of the reduced cross-correlation). Techniques for generating the cover codes (e.g., on a per-aggregation level basis) and applying the cover codes (e.g., within a search space) are described. Additionally or alternatively, the described techniques may relate to seeding of reference signals used to support decoding of the codewords. Improved orthogonality between reference signal seeds may further suppress codeword recipient ambiguity.

The user equipment may process symbols using a set of processing sequences selected based at least in part on the particular modulation scheme such that the particular modulation scheme is preserved for the symbols. The user equipment may transmit the symbols based at least in part on processing the symbols using the set of processing sequences. Numerous other aspects are provided.

FAST DECODING METHOD AND DEVICE SUITABLE FOR OVXDM SYSTEM, AND OVXDM SYSTEM
20190229838 · 2019-07-25 ·

This application discloses a fast decoding method and device suitable for an OvXDM system, and an OvXDM system. According to this method, there is no need to traverse all state nodes and expanded paths of the state nodes in a decoding process, and only some state nodes and paths are selected through measure sorting for expansion. Therefore, the decoding complexity can be greatly reduced and decoding efficiency is improved. The decoding complexity does not increase drastically as a number K of times of overlapped multiplexing increases, as in a conventional decoding solution. This resolves the problem that the spectral efficiency conflicts with the decoding complexity and the decoding efficiency.

Frequency band control algorithm

Embodiments are directed to systems and methods for selecting appropriate transmission configurations in a mobile ad hoc frequency division duplexing mesh network. In one scenario, a node receives transmission parameters from a neighboring node, where the transmission parameters include an indication of the node's current transmission configuration. The node receives network parameters from neighboring nodes, where the network parameters include connection information describing the node's current network connection to the neighboring nodes. Then, based on the received transmission parameters and the received network parameters, the node calculates a change factor which indicates the desirability of changing transmission configuration. The node accesses the calculated change factor to determine whether the transmission configuration of the node is to be changed and, upon determining that the change factor indicates that the transmission configuration of the node should be changed, the transmission configuration of the node is changed to a second, different transmission configuration.
