Impact-aware mitigation for computer networks
A computing system identifies mitigation actions in response to failures within a computer network. A service level objective is obtained by the computing system for client-resource data flows traversing the computer network between client-side and resource-side nodes. Indication of a failure event at a network location of the computer network is obtained. For each mitigation action of a set of candidate mitigation actions, an estimated impact to a distribution of the service level objective is determined for the mitigation action by applying simulated client-resource data flows to a network topology model of the computer network in combination with the mitigation action and the failure event. One or more target mitigation actions are identified by the computing system from the set of candidate mitigation actions based on a comparison of the estimated impacts of the set of candidate mitigation actions.
Automating 5G slices using real-time analytics
Systems and methods implemented by a workflow engine include obtaining data from a plurality of interfaces and network functions, NF, in one or more datacenters associated with a 5G core, 5GC, network, wherein the data relates to lifecycle management in the 5GC network; responsive to analyzing the data with a set of key performance indicators, KPI, and rules associated therewith that are formulated to detect anomalies that impact the lifecycle management, generating an alarm based on the analyzing based on detection of an anomaly that impacts the lifecycle management; and creating a workflow based on the alarm and pushing the workflow to the 5GC network via an orchestrator.
VNFM handling of faults in virtual network function components
An example operation may include a system, comprising one or more of: receiving a status failure notification for a VNFCI, retrieving a peer VNFCI admin state and a peer VNFCI operational state, taking no action when one or more of: the peer VNFCI admin state is not online, the peer VNFCI is not reachable, and the peer VNFCI operational state is active, retrieving current issues reported on resources associated with the peer VNFCI when one or more of: the peer VNFCI admin state is online, the peer VNFCI is reachable, and the peer VNFCI operational state is not active, sending a state change request message with an active state to the peer VNFCI when the current issues do not exist, and starting a retry timer for the peer VNFCI.
NETWORK MONITORING
A computer implemented method of monitoring operation of a communication network for the purpose of controlling the communication network. The method includes monitoring data relating to failures in the communication network; identifying a first set of failures comprising a statistically significant number of substantially similar failures; detecting that statistically significant number of failures of said first set of failures is associated with at least one common component, and responsively, outputting an alert related to the common component.
Method for managing system and apparatus therefor
The present disclosure provides a method of managing a system and an apparatus therefor. The method of the present disclosure may include providing a menu management tool for managing a menu of a system, setting an item of the menu and an authority to access the item by receiving an input through the menu management tool, and providing, when a terminal having the authority accesses the system, information regarding the item to the terminal.
Gateway action framework
Disclosed are various examples of an action framework for configuring a gateway to perform actions on the gateway itself or in conjunction with connected IoT devices. In some examples, a command is transmitted from a management service to a gateway device to permit a gateway client application to execute on the gateway device. A command to register an action in association with the gateway client application is also transmitted. The management service then commands the gateway device to perform the action, and receives an action results message with information about the action.
Intelligent internet traffic routing
A primary internet connection via a gateway or router located at a premises may be used to route internet traffic from devices located at the premises. A change in the primary internet connection, such as a loss or a degradation of the connection, may occur. Based on the change in the primary internet connection, metrics of alternative internet connections, such as cellular or hotspot connections, may be used to select one of the alternative internet connections. Internet traffic may be routed via the selected alternative internet connection until the primary internet connection is reestablished or improves.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HIERARCHICAL FAILOVER GROUPS
A logical grouping of subgroups of server clusters forms a failover super-cluster. A logical grouping of groups of servers provides high availability by, upon failure of an entire group (site), failing over an entire subgroup to a different subgroup. Yet within each subgroup local failovers continue to maintain application high availability during instances in which the site remains operational.
Service issue prioritisation based on impact using software telemetry
A system is provided herein that can correlate service issues with system telemetry associated with the software session associated with those service issues. Using a statistical approach, the system can evaluate data across numerous software sessions to rank the importance of the reported service issues. To accomplish the ranking, the system can parse the reports of service issues on a periodic basis, can extract telemetry identifiers (IDs) from the logs, can query the telemetry, may compute the relative importance of detected issues (in the context of calls going on for that day), and then can report this impact hack to the service issue database.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONFIGURING A COMMUNICATION NETWORK USING A CONNECTIVITY METRIC
A method for configuring a communication network, including obtaining information indicative of current status of nodes of the communication network, links between said nodes of the communication network or a combination thereof; processing the information to determine a network configuration based on the obtained information, the network configuration implementable in the communication network by adjusting one or more of said nodes, one of more of said links between said node, or a combination thereof, wherein said processing comprises evaluating at least the network configuration based on a connectivity metric indicative of an extent to which said nodes are interconnected via said links; and providing instructions directing one or more underlying resources to implement the network configuration. A device including a network interface, a processor, and a non-transient computer readable memory having stored instructions which when executed by the processor configure the device to execute the methods disclosed herein.
