A method and system of task management in an internet of things (IoT)-edge network may be provided. The method may include assigning at least one deep neural network (DNN) task from an IoT device to a first edge device; determining whether the first edge device satisfies one of a first predetermined criteria and a second predetermined criteria during execution of the at least one DNN task; triggering an alarm to the IoT device based on the determination; identifying a second edge device subsequent to the triggering of the alarm; determining whether to transfer the at least one DNN task to the second edge device or to execute the at least one DNN task on the first edge device, based on determining that the first device satisfies the second predetermined criteria; and transferring the at least one DNN task to the second edge device, based on determining that the first device satisfies the first predetermined criteria.

According to an embodiment of a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a distributed network comprising a plurality of subnets. Each of the plurality of subnets comprises a plurality of nodes. The network is configured to run a set of computational units and to assign each of the computational units to one of the plurality of subnets according to a subnet-assignment, thereby creating an assigned subset of the set of computational units for each of the subnets. The network is further configured to run on each node of the plurality of subnets the assigned subset of the computational units and to replicate the assigned subsets of the computational units across the respective subnets. The network is further configured to exchange unit-to-unit messages between the computational units via a messaging protocol based on the subnet-assignment.

In some embodiments, each interface associated with a different bridge calls a service engine based on identifiers included in data messages received at the interface. Each data message flow is associated with a particular identifier that is associated with a particular service engine instance that provides the stateful service. In some embodiments, the interface that receives a data message identifies a service engine to provide the stateful service and provides the data message to the identified service engine. After processing the data message, the service engine provides the data message to the egress interface associated with the ingress interface.

System and method of establishing seamless remote access virtual private network connections

A system and a method of establishing seamless remote access VPN connections are described. For establishment of a VPN connection for a user device, a cluster leader of a cluster of controllers identifies an active controller and a standby controller, based on network load of each controller of the cluster of controllers. An active VPN connection is established between the user device and the active controller and a standby VPN connection is established between the user device and the standby controller. The standby VPN connection is utilized in place of the active VPN connection during failover of the active controller. Because information of an active session is regularly shared by the active controller to the standby controller, the standby controller can seamlessly resume the active session during failover of the active controller.
