NETWORK SIMULATOR, NETWORK SIMULATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
Provided is acquiring communication information via communication or directly from an engineering DB (corresponding to one example “database”) in which the communication information related to communication devices constituting a plant network is defined; storing the acquired communication information; calculating, based on the stored communication information, a total communication amount of each of the communication devices supposed in communication executed in corresponding one of the communication devices; estimating, based on the total communication amount, an actual communication amount of each of the communication devices according to an arbitrary estimation condition specified by a user; determining at least presence/absence of a communication device whose actual communication amount exceeds communication capability of the communication device; and outputting a determined determination result to the user.
EDGE COMPUTING-BASED CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS, EDGE DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided are an edge computing-based control method and apparatus, an edge device and a storage medium. The method includes that: an analysis processing tool for implementing image analysis processing in a cloud server is acquired; in a case where the cloud server is in a fault state, image analysis processing is performed on a to-be-processed image with the analysis processing tool to obtain an analysis processing result; and the analysis processing result is synchronized to the cloud server.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO CONTROL SOFTWARE VERSION WHEN DEPLOYING OS APPLICATION SOFTWARE FROM THE BOOT FIRMWARE
Embodiments of systems and computer implemented methods are disclosed to automatically restore operating system (OS) application software to an information handling systems (IHS) when the OS application software is removed from a computer readable storage device of the IHS. The disclosed embodiments control the version of the OS application software being deployed to an IHS when deploying the software from the boot firmware. For example, the disclosed embodiments utilize a version identifier to specify which version of the OS application software should be restored, a Content Deliver Network (CDN) server to store multiple versions of the OS application software, and a registration web server to map a device identifier corresponding to the IHS and the version identifier corresponding to the specified version of the OS application software to a universal resource locator (URL) link identifying where the specified version of the OS application software is stored within the CDN server.
Network Function Virtualization Compute Element Image Upgrade
A network function virtualization (NFV) compute element installs an image supporting a virtualized network function (VNF) on the element. The image includes instructions/data to initiate a TCP connection between the element and a Software Defined Network (SDN) controller upon reboot of the element. Upon rebooting, the element establishes, as client in accordance with the instructions/data, a TCP connection with the controller. The element then accepts, as a cryptographic network protocol server, a connection via the TCP connection from the controller as a client in accordance with the instructions. Next, the element accepts, as a network management protocol server, a connection via the cryptographic network protocol connection from the controller as network management protocol client. The element receives, from the controller over the network management protocol connection, commands regarding the status of the rebooted element, and then transmits, to the controller over the network management protocol connection, responses to the commands.
Migration of managed devices to utilize management platform features
Disclosed are various examples for client device migration to utilize management platform features. In some examples, the client device is identified as compatible with a management platform. A migration of the client device to utilize a management platform feature is accepted through a user interface. A management platform account is created with a management platform service. A management profile is installed on the client device. The profile is compatible with the management platform. The management platform feature is enabled on the client device.

Cloud infrastructure for isolation and run-time behavioral tuning through configuration externalization
Embodiments generally relate to a cloud computing infrastructure and method of operating the same including at least: receiving a configuration file from a configuration repository; receiving a request from a first device to configure an application rule set of one or more nodes based on the configuration file; transmitting the request to a receiver node selected from the one or more nodes; generating a notification alerting the one or more nodes that the request is stored on a database; distributing the configuration file to a subset of the one or more nodes based on receipt of an access request from the one or more nodes; and updating the application rule set of the subset of the one or more nodes based on the configuration file.
Validating configuration changes on a network device
A technique to manage a configuration database (CDB) for a network device is disclosed. Network devices may receive a configuration change request as a configuration change object. To process that request, a current configuration CLI set representative of the current CDB may be generated. The network device creates a shadow CDB initially corresponding to the current CDB and processes the change request against the shadow CDB. An updated configuration CLI set may then be generated from the updated shadow CDB. A differential CLI set indicating the difference between the first CLI set and the second CLI set may be generated to represent a set of CLI commands to transition from one CDB to the other (e.g., implement the request). Authorization of the user to execute the CLI commands of the differential CLI dataset may be verified. Upon verification, the current CDB may be replaced with the updated shadow CDB.
Telecommunication network analytics platform
Methods, computer-readable media and devices are disclosed for selecting a plurality of network devices to perform a plurality of tasks in accordance with a set of functional network analytics instructions. For example, a processor deployed in a telecommunication network may receive a set of functional network analytics instructions compiled from a set of instructions in accordance with a functional network analytics platform application programming interface. The processor may further, in accordance with the set of functional network analytics instructions, select a plurality of network devices to perform a plurality of tasks, send the plurality of tasks to the plurality of network devices, receive control plane data from the plurality of network devices, correlate the control plane data in accordance with operations defined in the set of functional network analytics instructions to create resulting data, and forward the resulting data to at least one recipient device.
SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORK RECOMMENDATION
The disclosure provides an approach for providing a software-defined networking recommendation. A method includes obtaining, by a network managerr, existing network topology information for a set of one or more hosts. The method includes analyzing, by the network manager, the existing network topology information to identify usable network resources and to identify at least one virtual switch configuration common to the set of one or more hosts. The method includes generating, by the network manager, the software-defined networking recommendation based on one or more recommendation rules.
