Managing remote devices
A method and apparatus for managing remote devices. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of managing a remote device, comprising: obtaining a first identifier based on a name sequence in state information of the remote device, the first identifier being for indicating a template that provides the state information; obtaining a second identifier based on a numerical value sequence in the state information; sending a state access notification that comprises at least the first identifier and the second identifier; and providing the state information based on the first identifier and the second identifier in response to having received a result of activating the state access notification. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for managing a remote device.
CUSTOMIZABLE EVENT PROCESSING FOR THIRD PARTY INFRASTRUCTURE EVENTS
A processing device receives a request to include a custom action in a processing definition. The custom action is to be performed in response to an occurrence of an infrastructure event in a third party infrastructure platform. The processing device selects the processing definition that specifies a default action to be performed in response to the occurrence of the infrastructure event. The default action being defined by an infrastructure management platform managing the third party infrastructure platform. The processing device receives, from the third party infrastructure platform, user input defining the custom action relative to the default action in the processing definition and changes the processing definition to include the custom action relative to the default action
Data insight scoring for performance analytics
An enterprise management platform is configured to host a respective instance for multiple client networks. The enterprise management platform receives incoming data including one or more metrics being tracked in the incoming data by the enterprise management platform. For each metric of the one or more metrics, a determination is made that a statistic generator is to be processed for the corresponding metric, and responsive to determining that the statistic generator is to be processed, a statistic is generated using the statistic generator. For each statistic, a news score is generated, using a news evaluator, to convert the statistic generator to a news score. The news scores are then sorted and stored in a database disposed within the enterprise management platform.
CONFIGURATION SETTING METHOD AND DEVICE
An electronic device includes a communication module that communicates with a server and a processor. The processor is configured to transmit, if an application is installed or executed, identification information of the application to the server through the communication module, to receive pieces of configuration setting information corresponding to the identification information from the server, to verify an execution status of the application, to verify configuration setting information that corresponds to the execution status of the application from among the pieces of configuration setting information, and to change an execution configuration of the application based on the verified configuration setting information.
USING CLIENT DEVICE TO OPTIMIZE WIRELESS DRIVER RESTARTS IN ROUTER ON CHANGING NETWORK CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
A client device for use with a router having a radio, a first configurable feature, and a second configurable feature, the client device comprising: a memory; and a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the client device to: generate a first instruction to configure the first configurable feature; generate a second instruction to configure the second configurable feature; and transmit a queued-configuration signal, including the first instruction and the second instruction, to the router so as to reconfigure the first configurable feature, reconfigure the second reconfigurable feature, and turn off and restart the radio.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FACILITATING EDGE RACK EMULATION
A system for facilitating emulation in a distributed environment is provided. During operation, the system can obtain configuration of a physical edge rack, which can include one or more physical computing devices. The system can then present an emulated edge rack in a user interface. The emulated edge rack can be a digital twin of the physical edge rack. Based on a user input received via the user interface, the system can emulate a power-on event on the emulated edge rack. The emulated power-on event can emulate a power-on event for the physical edge rack. The system can then emulate the deployment of a component in the powered-on emulated edge rack based on configuration information received via the user interface. The deployed component can be configured based on the configuration information.
Multiple levels of logical routers
Some embodiments provide a managed network for implementing a logical network for a tenant. The managed network includes a first set of host machines and a second set of host machines. The first set of host machines is for hosting virtual machines (VMs) for the logical network. Each of the first set of host machines operates a managed forwarding element that implements a first logical router for the tenant logical network and a second logical router to which the first logical router connects. The implementation of the second logical router is for processing packets entering and exiting the tenant logical network. The second set of host machines is for hosting L3 gateways for the second logical router. The L3 gateways connect the tenant logical network to at least one external network.
System and method for policy based fibre channel zoning for virtualized and stateless computing in a network environment
A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes connecting one or more storage arrays to a switch; connecting one or more servers to the switch; creating a virtual storage area network between the one or more storage arrays and the switch; creating a service profile for a zoning configuration; and associating at least one of the one or more servers to a storage policy, wherein storage target ports can be added and removed from the storage policy, wherein a change of one of the storage target ports in the storage policy causes a change of the zoning configuration, wherein the storage policy includes an identifier of a fiber channel adaptor. In more specific examples, the method can include configuring virtual host bus adapters for the service profile; configuring parameters for each of the virtual host bus adapters; and associating a target port on one of the one or more storage arrays with a specific one of the virtual host bus adapters.
Systems and methods of building sequenceable test methodologies
Networks and applications can have many different profiles. Template configurations can consist of a wide variety of technologies such as IPv4, DHCP, and BGP. A list of application profiles would include web services, VoIP, Email, and Point-to-point. Network and application profiles can be combined into topology templates. Test methodologies can include complex sets of instructions that allow for testing any number of topology templates in a number of ways. The technology disclosed allows for the assembly, edit, and execution of those profiles and methodologies by someone who does not possess detailed domain knowledge.
Digital service path viewer
A device may obtain first information related to a digital service that may identify a digital path. The digital path may include digital nodes and optical links, of an optical network, to provide the digital service. The device may determine second information based on the first information. The second information may describe a relationship between one or more digital services and one or more digital paths. The device may provide a graphical representation, via a user interface, of the one or more digital paths. The device may provide the second information in relation to the graphical representation. The device may detect a user interaction with the graphical representation. The user interaction may relate to one or more of the digital services and/or one or more of the digital paths. The device may cause the digital nodes and/or the optical links to be configured.
