Method and system for facilitating auto-annotation and dynamic display for switch configurations

A system for dynamically managing a configuration file of a switch is provided. During operation, the system can determine one or more groups of line specifications in a specification file. A respective line specification can indicate a format of a respective variant of a configuration command of the switch. The system can then annotate a respective group in the specification file with a corresponding label. Subsequently, the system can associate a respective configuration command of the configuration file with a label of a group based on matching the configuration command with the group.

Low-code/no-code machine learning data stream analysis system

The present application relates to developing and deploying machine learning analysis systems using a low-code or no-code approach. A cloud service is configured to receive a first data stream from a sensor device and train a machine-learning model to recognize selected elements of the first data stream that are selected from a package of template models via a graphical user interface. The cloud service deploys the machine-learning model to an edge datacenter configured to receive a second data stream via a network connection. The edge datacenter locally interrogates the second data stream based on the machine-learning model to generate an element set including the selected elements. A logic service may receive a selection of one or more properties of the element set and one or more logical operators via a graphical user interface to generate user-configured logical rules. The logic service may the user-configured logical rules to the element set.

SOFTWARE-AS-A-SERVICE DEPLOYMENT OF PRINTING SERVICES IN A LOCAL NETWORK

A method for providing printing services to a local network is described. The method includes receiving, at an electronic device, an indication from a server outside a local network to run a service manager. The method also includes running the service manager on the electronic device. The method also includes receiving, at the electronic device, an indication to run one or more printing services on the local network based on one or more printing service settings. The one or more printing services communicate at regular intervals with the server to determine whether the printing service settings have been reconfigured or updated.

System and method for displaying and operating multi-layered item list in web browser with supporting of concurrent users

Remotely access computing resources had been a major challenge to many information technology (IT) vendors. For example, the traditional remote file system access products such as network file system (NFS) and message block (MSB) all cannot be used for web based accessing across global due to both of them demanding huge computing powers and network bandwidth. For other example, traditional web based remote files and folders accessing products such as Yahoo Briefcase and VMWare ESX Server 2.0 all cannot support operations such as move or copy a file from one folder into another due to both of them only can display two levels for a file system, thus only can operate files and folders within one flat level. This invention has overcome the problems had occurred in the traditional accessing of remote computing resources by introducing a method and apparatus for creating multi-layered item list to mirror computing resources. The use of the multi-layered item list has effectively reduced the requirement of computing power and network bandwidth and also provides user to operate computing resources at two or more levels by controlling displaying two more levels of the computing resources.

Method and apparatus for information exchange over a web based environment

Traditional information sharing will delete a file in order for stop sharing the file, and after shared a message, the message cannot be stopped for sharing. This invention discloses method and system for user posting (sharing) or un-posting (stop sharing) files, folders, and messages by deploying dynamic workspace technology. The stop sharing file or folder will not delete actual file or folder, so that the file or folder can be shared again to other users without requiring to recreate the file or folder. The un-post message operation facilitates a user to delete or withdraw his/her previously posted message from user interface (UI) of a recipient such that the user can avoid embarrassing if the message is not proper. Specially, a sharing control list is provided to user to control stop sharing files, otherwise, the user may do not remember how many files being shared with how many recipients.

GUIDED CONFIGURATION ITEM CLASS CREATION IN A REMOTE NETWORK MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

A system may include a database disposed within a remote network management platform, a server device disposed in the platform, and a client device. The database may contain representations of configuration items, such as computing devices and software applications associated with the managed network. The server device may provide a graphical user interface including a sequence of panes to the client device. The sequence of panes may include an identifier pane, an identification rules pane, and a reconciliation pane. Each pane may include data entry fields that are operable to define a new class of configuration item. The server device may receive, by way of the graphical user interface, a definition of the new class that uniquely identifies configuration items of a particular type using at least the attributes. The server may store, in the database, the definition of the new class.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DATABASE ACCESS USING A HISTORY WALKER

Systems and methods for a history walker interface to a time-based data structure are disclosed. A time-based data structure may contain information about updates to a set of records that change periodically over time. For example, a set of records that record state transitions of a task item as the task item progresses through its life cycle. An example task item may be represented by a change request or incident report in a help desk software application. The task item begins with an “open” state and may transition through any number of states (e.g., assigned, on-hold, test, customer response requested, etc.) on its way to ultimately being “closed” as completed. A history walker interface may assist application developers when creating applications to indicate how the task item transitioned through its different states throughout its lifecycle.

SOFTWARE-AS-A-SERVICE DEPLOYMENT OF PRINTING SERVICES IN A LOCAL NETWORK

A method for configuring, via a website, a device to provide printing services to a local network is described. The method includes creating, via a website, a service host object that comprises a network address of a device on a local network and a service host name. The method also includes configuring, via the website, one or more printing settings for one or more printing services. The method further includes sending an indication to the device on the local network to run a service manager. The method additionally includes sending an indication to the service manager to run the one or more printing services on the local network based on the one or more printing service settings.

System with position-sensitive electronic device interface

Systems are provided that include electronic equipment and electronic devices. A system may include electronic equipment such as a thermostat or other equipment in a vehicle or home, vehicle navigation equipment, networking equipment, computer equipment, equipment with speakers for playing audio, and other electronic equipment. An electronic device such as a portable electronic device may be placed in the vicinity of electronic equipment by a user. In response to detecting that the electronic device is adjacent to the electronic equipment, control circuitry in the electronic device can automatically display content of the electric device such as a user control interface for the electronic device or information related to operation of the electronic equipment. The system may monitor the position of the electronic device relative to the electronic equipment and can dynamically update the displayed content based on the current device position.
