System and method for service limit increase for a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure environment
Systems and methods described herein for automatic limit service increase in a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure environment. The systems and methods described herein provide for automatic approval of limit service increase requests that are either automatically generated based upon a tenant's usage of resources within the cloud infrastructure environment, or are received via, e.g., a user portal. Such automatic approval can be based upon a set of maximal limits that are computed based upon the tenant's current usage, level of subscription, or hard limit values.
MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE METHOD, MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE DEVICE, AND MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
The operator load is reduced while satisfying a service quality specification as far as possible. A handling procedure inquiry unit 121 acquires a handling procedure group including at least one handling procedure regarding a failure, a handling/recovery influence inquiry unit 122 acquires a degree of influence of performing, with respect to each handling procedure of the handling procedure group, the handling procedure, a handling procedure prioritization unit 123 selects the handling procedure to be performed based on whether or not a worker is needed and the degree of influence, a countermeasure selection unit 124 assigns the selected handling procedure to an automatic handling control unit 13, a planned maintenance control unit 14, or an immediate action control unit 15 that can perform the handling procedure.
Method for negotiating a quality of service offered by a gateway to terminals
The invention relates to a method for configuring a quality of service by way of a gateway including an interface on a local area network and an interface on a wide area network for a terminal of the local area network to access the wide area network, following the reception, by the gateway, of a network discovery message transmitted by the terminal, the method being noteworthy in that it comprises the steps of associating at least one address of the gateway on the local area network with a particular quality of service setting of the gateway, sending a network attachment offer message to the terminal, the message comprising at least one address of the gateway associated with a particular setting of the quality of service, and, upon reception of a message from the terminal and destined for an address of the gateway, processing the packet according to the setting associated with the destination address of the message. The invention correspondingly relates to a method for negotiating a quality of service on a terminal.
Elastic resource pooling for dynamic throughput rebalancing
A method for utilizing elastic resource pooling techniques to dynamically rebalance throughput includes determining, for each of multiple tenants leasing computing resources of a shared resource pool, a desired claim to resources in the shared resource pool. The desired claim is based on a number of resource access requests received in association with each of the multiple tenants. The method further includes determining, for each of the multiple tenants, a guaranteed claim and a maximum potential claim on the shared resource pool; and allocating a surplus resource pool among the multiple tenants based on the determined maximum potential claim and the desired claim for each one of the multiple tenants, the surplus resource pool representing a remainder of the shared resource pool after the guaranteed claim for each of the tenants is satisfied via an initial resource allocation from the shared resource pool.
Management device and method for controlling end-to-end network in wireless communication system
A device and a method for managing and controlling an end-to-end network in a wireless communication system are provided. The management device for controlling an end-to-end network in a wireless communication system includes a network slice manager configured to configure network slices for a terminal, a policy manager configured to set a policy applied to the network slices and a software defined network (SDN) device configured to control one or more network entities related to transmission of traffic for the network slices, based on the policy, wherein each of the network slices are configured for a different frequency band.
GUIDED CONFIGURATION ITEM CLASS CREATION IN A REMOTE NETWORK MANAGEMENT PLATFORM
A system may include a database disposed within a remote network management platform, a server device disposed in the platform, and a client device. The database may contain representations of configuration items, such as computing devices and software applications associated with the managed network. The server device may provide a graphical user interface including a sequence of panes to the client device. The sequence of panes may include an identifier pane, an identification rules pane, and a reconciliation pane. Each pane may include data entry fields that are operable to define a new class of configuration item. The server device may receive, by way of the graphical user interface, a definition of the new class that uniquely identifies configuration items of a particular type using at least the attributes. The server may store, in the database, the definition of the new class.
DATA MANAGEMENT IN AN EDGE NETWORK
Generally discussed herein are systems, devices, and methods for data management in a reverse content data network (rCDN). A component of the rCDN may include a memory to hold content received from a first sensor device of a plurality of sensor devices of the rCDN and first attributes that describe properties of the content. The component may include processing circuitry to receive second content from a second sensor device of the plurality of sensor devices, the second content including a plurality of second attributes that describe properties of the second content, and forward, in response to a determination, based on the first and second attributes, that there is insufficient space to store the second content on the memory, the second content to a node of the rCDN that is fewer hops away from a backend cloud than the component.
Cross-domain service optimization
A method for cross-domain service optimization is implemented on a computing device and includes defining at least one key quality indicator (KQI) target for at least one end-to-end (E2E) service, where the at least one E2E service crosses more than one domain of a communications network, receiving an indication of quality of experience (QoE) for the at least one E2E service, based on the indication of QoE, translating the at least one KQI target to at least one set of service optimization instructions for each domain from among the more than one domain, and for each domain, applying the service optimization instructions.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR NETWORK DEVICE LOAD BALANCERS FOR ACCELERATED FUNCTIONS AS A SERVICE
Technologies for load balancing on a network device in an edge network are disclosed. An example network device includes circuitry to receive, in an edge network, a request to access a function, the request including one or more performance requirements, identify, as a function of an evaluation of the performance requirements and on monitored properties of each of a plurality of devices associated with the network device, one or more of the plurality of devices to service the request, select one of the identified devices according to a load balancing policy, and send the request to the selected device.
Systems and methods for using an error budget for monitoring performance of a service level of a service
Described embodiments provide systems and methods of using an error budget for monitoring performance of a service level of a service is provided. A device intermediary to a plurality of requestors and a plurality of services can identify an error budget for a service level of a service. The error budget can include an amount for which the service is allowed to fall below the service level. The device can monitor, via requests from the requestors to the service, performance of the service with respect to the service level. The device can determine one or more instances for which the service falls below the service level and allocate one or more amounts from the error budget. The device can display the usage of the error budget for the service in association with the service level.
