Multi-site wide area network in a cloud computing system
One or more examples provide techniques for providing a multi-site wide area network in a cloud computing system. In an example, a method of providing a multi-site wide area network (WAN) in a cloud computing system includes: creating a plurality of sites; creating a compute profile in each of the plurality of sites, each compute profile having a compute cluster of virtual machines (VMs); creating a service mesh having the compute profile of each of the plurality of sites; and deploying an application to the service mesh.
System and method for supporting service resources and feature sets in a cloud platform environment
In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing service resources for consumption by an application deployed to a service in a cloud environment. A service definition package (SDP) for the service can specify a dependency on a provider, and include association rules that define actions to be taken with regard to a runtime of the provider. When the service is provisioned, a service resource type which is derived from a provider SDP can be associated with the service. As a result of the association, a service resource can be automatically created from the service resource type in accordance with the association rules, to provide resources for consumption by the application. In accordance with an embodiment, the provider SDP can include a plurality of feature sets associated with different sets of configurable properties, which allows different provider types or service resource types to be created.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING RANKED DEPLOYMENT OPTIONS
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can receive information about an application design plan. The application design plan can be associated with at least one deployment criterion. One or more available infrastructure resources can be identified based on the information about the application design plan. A plurality of deployment options can be determined based on the one or more available infrastructure resources. The plurality of deployment options can be determined to be compliant with the at least one deployment criterion. The plurality of deployment options can be ranked to produce an ordered set of deployment options.

IDENTITY SERVICE MANAGEMENT IN LIMITED CONNECTIVITY ENVIRONMENTS
A system and technique for identity service management in a computing environment having a plurality of managed endpoints includes a mediator located remote from an identity management service provider and configured to interface with the plurality of managed endpoints to enable management thereof by the identity management service provider. The mediator includes a web services client configured to package and upload data from at least one of the managed endpoints to the identity management service provider via a web services protocol. The mediator also includes a plurality of providers each configured to identify a particular type of adapter of the mediator for communicating with a respective managed endpoint.
Method and apparatus for mapping network slices onto network infrastructures with SLA guarantee
A network slice managing entity, comprising means configured to obtain a service request for a network slice, the service request defining service requirements; request network slice descriptions from a database and selecting at least one network slice which support said service requirements according to the descriptions; generate a resource graph comprising nodes representing infrastructure resources and links representing connections between the nodes, the resource graph depicting resources needed for providing the service, wherein the generating is carried out based on a network slice description of the selected at least one network slice; transmit the resource graph to an infrastructure manager for mapping a topology of said network infrastructure onto said resource graph and determining at least one subset of said network infrastructure; and, receive a mapping result from said infrastructure manager containing said at least one subset of said network infrastructure.
Methods, nodes and computer readable media for tunnel establishment per slice
A method in a controlled node and a corresponding controlled node. The method comprises: receiving, from a control node, a computed result of logical topology for each slice on a physical topology composed by controlled nodes under control of the control node, and splitting information and constraints for each slice (S301); splitting a physical port into the at least one logical port for a slice based on the received splitting information (S303); associating the at least one logical port for the slice with a slice container (S305); applying the constraints for the slice on the at least one logical port (S307); generating a routing table for the slice based on the received computed result and the constraints (S309); and computing at least one tunnel according to the routing table for the slice based on the slice requirements of the slice (S311).
DEPLOYING A SERVICE FROM A SELECTED CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDER BASED ON AN EVALUATION OF MIGRATION ABILITY USING GRAPH ANALYTICS
A method includes performing by a processor of a server: receiving a requirement description of a service for a software application, generating a migration graph that comprises vertices representing candidate service providers for the service, respectively, identifying migration capability information between the vertices of the migration graph by connecting a portion of the vertices with edges, generating a centrality metric for each of the vertices of the migration graph based on the migration capability information and a number of edges terminating at the respective vertex, grading the candidate service providers based on one of the migration capability information and the centrality metric, and deploying the service using one of the candidate service providers responsive to grading the candidate service providers receiving an architecture description for a software application that identifies a plurality of generic services, receiving a requirement description for the software application that comprises respective values for a plurality of priority parameters for the software application, and generating a proposal that, for each of the plurality of generic services, identifies a specific cloud service for the respective generic service based on the requirement description.
Router and resource assignment method thereof
The present invention provides a router including first and second wide-area network interfaces, at least one local area network interface, and a control unit. The local area network interface is electrically connected to at least one electronic device through at least one local area network. The control unit enables the electronic device to have at least one network service of the Internet through the first and the second wide-area network interfaces and the local area network interface, and assigns the network service to the first wide-area network interface or the second wide-area network interface according to at least one condition of the network service, wherein the condition includes at least one packet rate caused by the network service.
Selecting platform-supported services
A network-based services platform is configured to receive an application template that specifies characteristics of desired network-accessible service components for use by a network-based application. The network-based services platform searches from available services to find those having characteristics that are compatible with those specified by the application template, and returns an indication of the matching services to a client or developer.
