SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUPPORTING MULTI-ACCESS EDGE COMPUTING USING APPLICATION-BASED QUALITY OF SERVICE FLOWS

A network device may select a first user plane function for establishing, with a user equipment, a protocol data unit session with a single flow and may receive an application function trigger associated with a first new flow for a first application of the user equipment. The network device may select a second user plane function for the first new flow and may create a first traffic filter for the first new flow. The network device may cause the first traffic filter to be provided to the user equipment so that first application traffic is routed, based on the first traffic filter, to the second user plane function and a first multi-access edge computing device associated with the second user plane function.

Systems including interfaces for communication of run-time configuration information

Examples of services described herein expose an application programming interface (API) which may return the run-time configuration information. In this manner, software external to the service (e.g., an orchestrator) may query the service to determine the run-time configuration information, then provide both the initial configuration information known to the external software and the run-time configuration information to an Internet-facing gateway. Examples described herein may accordingly avoid or reduce instances of an upgrade dependency. When the service is upgraded, the run-time configuration information may be obtained by calling the API without a need to also upgrade the software external to the service.

Intent-driven cloud branches

Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are provided for deploying intent-driving cloud branches. An example method can include obtaining, by one or more controllers in a software-defined network (SDN), a branch network design template for deploying a remote branch in the SDN, wherein the branch network design template defines networking settings for a plurality of services to be provisioned at the remote branch; obtaining, by the one or more controllers, a plurality of software packages for the plurality of services to be provisioned at the remote branch; and based on the branch network design template and the plurality of software packages, provisioning, by the one or more controllers, the plurality of services at the remote branch and a network connectivity of the plurality of services.

A system for intelligent multi-device content distribution based on associated internet protocol (IP) addressing, including: identifying, by a computer processor, first advertising content served to a first client device; identifying a first client device IP address associated with the first client device, where the first client device is linked to a household profile; submitting, to a content exchange service, a request for content placement opportunities; receiving content placement opportunities from the content exchange service, where one or more content placement opportunities identify at least a portion of a second client device IP address of a second client device; linking the second client device to the household profile; selecting second advertising content based on the first advertising content; and providing the second advertising content for the content placement opportunity to be displayed on the second client device.

Network slice management method and apparatus
11502909 · 2022-11-15 · ·

Embodiments of this application disclose a network slice management method and device, and relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: receiving, by a first management unit, a network slice management request, where the network slice management request carries instance information or indication information of a transport network manager; and sending, by the first management unit, a transmission management request to a corresponding transport network manager based on the instance information of the transport network manager, where the transmission management request is used to deploy a transmission network. The embodiments of this application provide a method for determining a transport network manager to create a corresponding transmission network.

RESOLVING CONFIGURATION DRIFT FOR COMPUTING RESOURCE STACKS

This disclosure describes techniques for resolving discrepancies that occur to interrelated computing resources from computing resource drift. Users may describe computing resources in an infrastructure template. However, computing resource drift occurs when “out-of-band” modifications are made to the computing resources and are not reflected in the infrastructure template. To resolve discrepancies between the infrastructure template and the out-of-band modifications to the computing resources, a notification may be output to a user account associated with the computing resources detailing the differences. An updated infrastructure template may be received that resolves the differences, such as by including configuration settings that reflect a current state of the computing resources. The computing resources may then execute a workflow using the updated template, such that the workflow is executed on all of the computing resources in a current state.

System and method for delivering modular tools

A system and method are presented for delivering modular tools through a cloud-based remote computing environment. Users may create and customize extensions to the modular tools for integration with the product system without requiring change to product. Using a script tag added to a website, a user is able to install the modular tool to a website. The modular tool extensions are able to directly communicate with handlers and websites and are able to become directly integrated with a premises-based product. This may be done through a multiplexed API exposed to the modular tool extensions that directly couples them to the premises-based product. The modular tools are able to be configured in the premises-based product, however they are hosted in the cloud and as such, the premises-based product is able to receive continuous integration and deployment from the cloud.

Apparatus and method for a unified slice manager
11576020 · 2023-02-07 · ·

Systems and methods are described to enable a so-called ‘unified slice’, wherein the unified slice is technology-independent, i.e., constructed from different networking technologies, and spans multiple operators. The method provides an abstraction of a network slice and its segments, and a way to coordinate the end-to-end slice information collection, slice segment configuration and activation across multiple types of networks and operators. The system of invention has the task of coordinating configuration of an end-to-end slice, with user-specified slice parameters, by communicating with the respective slice managers; It receives information to generate an abstract model of each slice segment, and sends the required slice segment attributes to these slice managers so that they can activate the segment after translating them according to capabilities of their network technology.

GENERATING QUANTUM SERVICE DEFINITIONS FROM EXECUTING QUANTUM SERVICES
20220351062 · 2022-11-03 ·

Generating quantum service definitions from executing quantum services is disclosed. In one example, a processor device of a quantum computing system executes a quantum service comprise one or more qubits. The processor device (e.g., by executing a quantum analysis service (QAS)) receives a request to profile the quantum service. Based on the request, the processor device obtains service metadata corresponding to the quantum service. A quantum service definition that defines one or more features of the quantum service is then generated based on the service metadata, and the quantum service definition is stored on a persistent data store. In this manner, quantum service definitions may be partially or wholly reverse-engineered for quantum services for which original quantum services definitions are unavailable or inaccessible.

NETWORK SERVICE ACTIVATION SYSTEM

Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a service activation system in a telecommunications network that utilizes one or more generic container files for building the configuration file to instantiate the service on the network. A request for service from a network may be received from an order entry system that includes specific information about the requested service. A collection of generic configuration files may be selected based on the information included in the service order and arranged to build a configuration file to be executed on the network. The service activation system may also include a component or group of components to verify a received service order and alter the service order with default information or data where applicable. The configuration file may also be executed on the network through one or more drivers communicating with the affected devices to configure the one or more network devices.
