A network element is herein disclosed. The network element comprises an embedded device having one or more property affecting a function of the embedded device and one or more status; a first computing system having a first processor and a first memory, the first memory being a first non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a device microservice and a hardware entity microservice, the hardware entity microservice in communication with the embedded device; a second computing system having a second processor and a second memory, the second memory being a second non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a core framework microservice; and a communication device in communication with the first computing system and the second computing system.
METHOD AND WIRELESS UNIT FOR V2X COMMUNICATION
A system and apparatus are disclosed herein for vehicle to everything (V2X) wireless communication. A V2X wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a vehicle to everything (V2X) message including configuration information and a road side unit (RSU) address. The WTRU may then transmit a message to the RSU according to the configuration information including multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS) data. The configuration information may include a MBMS service descriptor. One or more of the V2X messages may include priority information, WTRU type information, or both.

Aspects of a method and system for content selection, delivery and payment may comprise a management entity that coordinates operation of one or more endpoint devices. The one or more endpoint devices may be operable to select one or more parameters associated with a particular content type from the management entity. The particular content type may specify a type of media content that is handled by the one or more endpoint devices. The one or more endpoint devices may be operable to receive configuration information from the management entity based on the selected one or more parameters associated with the particular content type. The one or more endpoint devices may be configured utilizing the received configuration information. The one or more endpoint devices may be operable to pay for the received configuration information.

A network slice managing entity, comprising means configured to obtain a service request for a network slice, the service request defining service requirements; request network slice descriptions from a database and selecting at least one network slice which support said service requirements according to the descriptions; generate a resource graph comprising nodes representing infrastructure resources and links representing connections between the nodes, the resource graph depicting resources needed for providing the service, wherein the generating is carried out based on a network slice description of the selected at least one network slice; transmit the resource graph to an infrastructure manager for mapping a topology of said network infrastructure onto said resource graph and determining at least one subset of said network infrastructure; and, receive a mapping result from said infrastructure manager containing said at least one subset of said network infrastructure.

Network service pricing and resource management in a software defined networking environment
Systems and methods are described for network service pricing and service resource management, implemented by a server communicatively coupled to a Software Defined Networking (SDN) network configured to provide the network service. The systems and methods includes receiving a service request for a network service in the SDN network; determining one or more price categories and one or more network resources for the service request, wherein the network resources are selected to instantiate the network service; adjusting a price of the network resources by adjusting the price within a range of the price categories based on current and known future network information of the SDN network; and responsive to acceptance of the price, instantiating the network service through the network resources in the SDN network.
Distributed, adaptive controller for multi-domain networks
In some examples, a control network for one or more network segments of a network comprises a plurality of controllers each including one or more processors. The plurality of controllers receive service requests that each comprises a definition for a service provided by the network to connect at least two endpoints over a path traversing at least one of the one or more network segments, wherein the control network operates according to a control model by which the plurality of controllers provision services in the one or more network segments to satisfy the service requests. The plurality of controllers dynamically adapt, based on network conditions including the service requests, the control model for the control network. The plurality of controllers provision, according to the adapted control model, services for the service requests.

A processing system may obtain a request to deploy a service comprising a first virtual network function (VNF) to a multi-cloud environment comprising cloud infrastructures, the request including metadata associated with the service, decompose the service into a plurality of modules comprising: a plurality of VNFs and/or a plurality of components of the first VNF, select at least a first deployment model for the service from among a plurality of deployment models, based upon the metadata, each deployment model comprising rules for assigning the plurality of modules to cloud infrastructures, and deploy a first module to a first cloud infrastructure and a second module to a second cloud infrastructure.

The disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method for controlling on-demand service provisioning in a network, wherein the network comprises resources for providing a service. In the method, a service request is intercepted. At least one network function, indicated as a first network function, required for the service associated with the service request is determined. Then, the first network function is instantiated on a resource in the network for executing the service in the network.
