Providing fast trigger matching to support business rules that modify customer-support tickets

A system and method are provided that automatically update a customer-support ticket in an online customer-support system. When the customer-support ticket is created or updated, the system applies a set of triggers, which modify the ticket based on business rules, wherein each trigger performs actions that modify the ticket when conditions for parameters associated with the ticket are satisfied. When applying a trigger to the ticket, the system evaluates the conditions for the trigger by evaluating an associated condition graph, which is a directed graph comprised of condition nodes, wherein each condition node specifies conditions on parameters associated with the ticket. During this evaluation, if a valid path through the condition graph is discovered, which comprises a sequence of satisfied condition nodes from the root node to a null node, the system fires the trigger, which involves performing actions associated with the trigger to update the ticket.

Communication configuration selection

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for communication configuration selection. One apparatus includes a receiver that receives configuration information for multiple communication configurations. The configuration information corresponds to services having different performance requirements, and the performance requirements include latency, reliability, peak data rate, efficiency overhead, control overhead, system capacity, or some combination thereof. The apparatus also includes a processor that selects a communication configuration of the multiple communication configurations. The apparatus communicates using the selected communication configuration.

Request response based on a performance value of a server

The present invention relates to a method, computer system, and computer program product for data processing based on a response strategy. According to the method, a performance value of a server is determined in response to receiving at least one request to the server. A response strategy for the at least one request is determined based on the determined performance value. At least one response is provided to the at least one request according to the determined response strategy.

There is provided a method of operating a Service Communication Proxy, SCP, node (608, 1000) in a communication network as a proxy network repository function, NRF, for a first network function, NF, producer node in the communication network. The first NF producer node (602, 1100) is to migrate from a direct communication mode with a first NF consumer node (606) to an indirect communication mode with the first NF consumer node (606) via the SCP node (608, 1000). The SCP node (608, 1000) discovers a NF profile for the first NF producer node (602, 1100), wherein the NF profile for the first NF producer node (602, 1100) is stored by a first network repository function, NRF, node (604) in the communication network, and the NF profile comprises a service address for the first NF producer node (602, 1100); receives a registration request from the first NF producer node (602, 1100), wherein the registration request is a request to register a NF profile for the first NF producer node (602, 1100) at a NRF node (604), wherein the registration request indicates the service address for the first NF producer node (602, 1100); and, in response to the received registration request, sends an update request to the first NRF node (604) to update the NF profile for the first NF producer node (602, 1100) stored by the first NRF node (604) to replace the service address of the first NF producer node (602, 1100) with a first service address of the SCP node (608, 1000) that is associated with the service address of the first NF producer node (602, 1100).

METHOD FOR PREDICTIVELY OPERATING A COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method for operating a communication network includes: receiving, by a business support system of a resource reservation system, a reservation request, the reservation request indicating a Quality of Service (QoS) for an upcoming connection to be provided at a time distance from a reservation by the communication network for a terminal device and an application or service accessed by the terminal device via the upcoming connection; checking, by a bookkeeper decision engine of the resource reservation system, whether the business support system has availability for the indicated QoS; in response to confirming the availability for the indicated QoS, sending, by the bookkeeper decision engine, a reservation confirmation; and providing, by the communication network, the upcoming connection with the indicated QoS assigned for the terminal device at the time distance from the reservation.

TECHNIQUES FOR IMPLEMENTING ROLLBACK OF INFRASTRUCTURE CHANGES IN A CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ORCHESTRATION SERVICE

Techniques for implementing rollback of infrastructure changes in an infrastructure orchestration service are described. In certain examples, an infrastructure orchestration service is disclosed that manages both provisioning and deploying of infrastructure assets within a cloud environment. The service receives a plan comprising a set of instructions associated with a set of infrastructure assets of an execution target and identifies a first state of the set of infrastructure assets. The service executes the set of instructions in the plan to achieve a second state for the set of infrastructure assets. Based in part on the executing, the service receives a trigger for rolling back the plan to restore the set of infrastructure assets in the plan to the first state and executes a rollback plan for the plan. The service then transmits a result associated with the execution of the rollback plan.
