Proactive power outage alerts management system and methods
A system, an alternative system, and a computer readable storage medium, for a power outage notification system that proactively manages communication of power outage alerts messages to customers of a power distribution system. Wireless communications between smart meters at the edge of an electrical power distribution network and a proactive outage alerts processing engine at an outage alerts notification information processing system facilitate management of communications of power outage alerts messages to customer communication devices. Power outage alerts messages can be communicated to customers using email messaging, text messaging, and voice mail messaging.
System and method for accurate reporting of fault for failed internet protocol-based calls
A system and method to identify a call end associated with a problem that caused failure of an internet protocol-based call. The method includes accessing a first call detail record (CDR) set including at least one CDR associated with a first call end of the failed call, determining from the first CDR set indicators of failure attribution of the failed call, determining whether fault for failure of the failed call is attributed to the first call end based on the indicators of failure attribution; outputting an indication that the fault is attributed to the first call end if it was determined that the fault is attributed to the first call end, and outputting the indication to indicate the first call end is acquitted of the fault if it was determined the fault is not attributed to the first call end.
System and method for servicing requests in a decentralized network
A system is configured to determine multiple sub-requests from one of service requests received from a user device. The system associates each sub-request to at least one knowledge domain. The sub-requests are transmitted to a decentralized network. In turn, the decentralized network generates one or more responses associated with each knowledge domain in each sub-request. At this stage, the system relates multiple responses corresponding to the received service request to a same identifier (i.e., a common identifier) and provide the responses related to the identifier to the user device as a single service request response.

Network user usage profiling
Methods, systems, devices, and software are disclosed for generating a network usage profile. Certain embodiments of the network usage profile include a devices-by-node profile, indicating the set of customer devices available for use in communicating with a customer-side network node located at a customer side of an access network over a period of time, where some of the customer devices are not in operative communication with the customer-side network node during a portion of that time. Other embodiments associate the network usage profile with customer information to generate device-by-customer profiles. Still other embodiments associate the network usage profile with network traffic information to generate traffic-by-device profiles. Even other embodiments associate the multiple sources and types of information to generate traffic-by-customer profiles and/or traffic-by-device-by-customer profiles. Any of the profiles may then be accessed by one or more parties for use in affecting various network services, including targeting content delivery.
OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORK DESIGN SYSTEM
A system for network design comprising: a controller in communication with an input/output device, the controller being in communication with at least one fiber infrastructure database including at least one of a link performance data and a service volume data and a performance risk database; a modeling component configured to predict a number of potential customers impacted by a loss of a span and a number of circuits; wherein the controller is in communication with the modeling component, the controller being configured to merge data from the fiber infrastructure database and performance risk database to provide at least one of a recommended route design and an automated order to define a new route.
Industrial internet of things data pipeline for a data lake
A cloud-based analytics system streams industrial data from customer facilities to a cloud platform as torrential data streams, and performs analytics on the data contained in the data streams based on a selected set of rules. The rules can be designed to diagnose current or potential issues, to monitor for alarm conditions, or to perform other types of analytics. One or more data pipelines migrate data from plant facilities to a data lake residing on the cloud platform. Data streams can be segregated according to customer, and can further be segregated according to plant facility, production area, or any other suitable classification. Each data stream has an associated manifest that identifies the set of rules to be used to process data in each data stream, allowing selected rules to be applied to each data stream in an ad hoc manner.
Detecting poor performing devices
A device is configured to determine a set of performance indicators associated with a base station and a set of user devices, and determine that a quantity of the set of user devices does not exceed a threshold. The device is configured to receive performance information based on the set of performance indicators, and store the performance information based on determining that the quantity of the set of user devices does not exceed the threshold. The device is configured to determine a performance problem, associated with the base station, based on the performance information, and determine that a user device, of the set of user devices, is associated with the performance problem. The device is configured to provide information that identifies the user device.
Smart network interface device
The present application describes a network interface device that acts as an interface between a network service provided by a network service provider and one or more network access devices associated with a particular location and/or entity.
