Computing environment connectivity system

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a system and a method of monitoring connectivity between a plurality of services in a computing environment. The server automatically periodically monitors and aggregates monitored data related to the at least one service through a monitoring application on the server. The monitoring involves collecting and logging status information of the services. The server then connects to the client device, via a mobile gateway, through an application interface (API) on the server. The API includes instructions for sending, receiving, and translating information between the server and the client device. The server then receives, from the client device, a status request. The server sends, from the monitoring application to the API, the monitored data related to the at least one service. Then the server translates, using the API, the monitored data related to the service to obtain the status of the service in the computing environment. Translating involves applying thresholding to the monitored data, utilizing current and historical monitored service status, to categorize the service status. The server sends the status category for the at least one service from the server to the client device via the API.

Allocation of resources for real-time communication

There is provided mechanism for providing Web based applications with network information. A need for a Web based application to transmit a real time media flow is acquired. Transport characteristics relating to transmission of the real time media flow over a communications network is acquired. From the acquired transport characteristics and according to a policy criterion a resource allocation to the real time media flow is determined. The determined resource allocation is provided to at least one of the Web based application and a browser associated with the Web based application.

Adaptive polling based upon demand
10425297 · 2019-09-24 · ·

Technologies are described herein for adaptive polling based upon demand. A data source is polled for data at a first polling frequency. A request is received for a page or other type of resource that includes the data, and the data is provided in response to the request. Subsequently, the data source is polled for the data at a second polling frequency greater than the first polling frequency. Status messages are also received indicating a status of a display of the page. The polling frequency may be adjusted based on the status messages. For example, the polling frequency may be increased if a status message indicates that a user is viewing the data. The polling frequency may be decreased if a status message indicates that the data is not being viewed or that a page or other type of resource for presenting the data has been closed.

Current event triggered website updates

A website hosting system may host a plurality of websites and update and publish some of the websites that may be customized based on a current event received from news sources and/or social media platforms. The website hosting system may update different websites differently for the same event by determining industries and marketing areas for the hosted websites and the affected industries and affected areas for the detected event. The website hosting system may update and customize websites with an industry and marketing area that are within the news event's effected industries and affected areas.

Web service selector component

An apparatus, method, and a computer program are provided. In one embodiment, a request is transmitted to a selector module for an available web service and a response is received from the selector module for a web service server. The response includes an endpoint uniform resource indicator to allow a client module to transmit a web service request to an appropriate web service server.

Managed directory service connection

Techniques for connecting computer system entities to local computer system resources are described herein. A computer system entity that requests access to a local computer system resource has that request fulfilled by a managed directory service, which receives the request and connects the computer system entity to the local computer system resource. While connected, the managed directory service receives commands to perform operations on the local computer system resource and, if the computer system entity is authorized to perform the operations on the local computer system resource, the managed directory service performs the operations on the local computer system resource.

System and method for automated contact center agent workstation testing

A system for automated contact center agent thick client workstation testing. The invention uses a workstation test execution manager. The workstation test execution manager acts as the interface between the client interaction software systems testing system and analyst controlled test device, executes an extensive set of robust test directive commands with underlying routines to be used to specify test conditions without the use of programming ability on the part of the analyst, uses a robust set of report item and format choice designators to allow easy selection of a range of report content and styles.

Naming of distributed business transactions
10348809 · 2019-07-09 · ·

The present technology monitors a web application provided by one or more services. A service may be provided by applications. The monitoring system provides end-to-end business transaction visibility, identifies performance issues quickly and has dynamical scaling capability across monitored systems including cloud systems, virtual systems and physical infrastructures. In instances, a request may be received from a remote application. The request may be associated with a distributed transaction. Data associated with the request may be detected. A distributed transaction identifier may be generated for a distributed transaction based on the data associated with the request.

Avoiding web request failures before they occur by component analysis

Disclosed herein is a method for predicting and avoiding request failures. The method includes receiving a request for access to at least one web service and analyzing the request to identify at least one probabilistic resource tree for handling the request. The method further includes detecting a problem preventing a usage of a resource in the at least one probabilistic resource tree. The problem causes the request to fail upon implementation of the request. Furthermore, the method includes performing an action to avoid the implementation of the request.

Rendering a Web Application in a Cloud Service

Methods, devices, and computer-readable media for providing access to a web-based application from a remote computing device having a software environment that is incompatible with the web application are presented. In some embodiments, a virtual server may receive from a client device, a request to execute a web application, where at least a first portion of the web application may be hosted by the virtual server and a second portion of the web application may be hosted by a second server. In response to the request by the client device, the web application may be executed at the virtual server. Then a user interface of the web application may be sent to the client device to be presented in a local browser at the client device.
