The first node is a base station or a network element connected to the base station, and the second node is a routing function entity; or the first node is the routing function entity, and the second node is the base station or a network element connected to the base station. The routing function entity is an anchor point of an Internet Protocol IP address of a user.

NETWORK NODE AND METHOD PERFORMED THEREIN FOR HANDLING COMMUNICATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK

CALL AUDIO PLAYBACK SPEED ADJUSTMENT

A device includes one or more processors configured to, during a call, receive a sequence of audio frames from a first device. The one or more processors are configured to, in response to determining that no audio frame of the sequence has been received for a threshold duration since a last received audio frame of the sequence, initiate transmission of a frame loss indication to the first device. The one or more processors are also configured to, responsive to the frame loss indication, receive a set of audio frames of the sequence and an indication of a second playback speed from the first device. The one or more processors are configured to initiate playback, via a speaker, of the set of audio frames based on the second playback speed. The second playback speed is greater than a first playback speed of a first set of audio frames of the sequence.

Virtual communication service for mobile devices

One example method of operation may include identifying a call communication intended for a called device, determining the call communication resulted in a failed call connection, responsive to identifying the failed call connection, invoking a virtual mobile device application operating on a virtual machine, executing a master file stored in the virtual machine, and responsive to executing the master file, transmitting a communication message to the called device.

OPTIMIZING PERFORMANCE BETWEEN A WIRELESS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM (WDS) AND A MACRO NETWORK(S)
20220078639 · 2022-03-10 ·

Optimizing performance between a wireless distribution system (WDS) and a macro network(s). In this regard, a macro network optimization system is configured to detect a performance indicator(s) between a WDS and a macro network and optimize the performance of the macro network based on the detected performance indicator(s). The macro network optimization system analyzes a macro network performance report provided by the macro network and/or a WDS performance report provided by the WDS to detect the performance indicator(s) between the WDS and the macro network. The macro network optimization system reconfigures operations of one or more macro network elements to optimize performance between the WDS and the macro network based on the detected performance indicator(s). By detecting and optimizing performance between the WDS and the macro network, capacity, throughput, and/or coverage of the WDS and the macro network can be improved, thus providing better quality of experience (QoE).

Systems and methods for evaluating a user experience in a network based on performance indicators

A device may collect network performance data associated with a user equipment of a network. The network performance data may include information associated with a plurality of performance indicators of the network. The device may process information associated with a first portion of the plurality of performance indicators to determine a first performance category experience score, and information associated with a second portion of the plurality of performance indicators to determine a second performance category experience score. The device may process the first performance category experience score and the second performance category experience score to determine a network experience score. The device may determine whether the network experience score satisfies a threshold value. The device may perform one or more actions based on determining that the network experience score satisfies the threshold value.

Method for determining voice quality in a telecommunications network

A method for determining a quality of voice transmitted by electrical signals between a first telecommunication terminal and a second telecommunication terminal in a telecommunication network, the method comprising: identifying a model type for the first telecommunication terminal and the second telecommunication terminal respectively; identifying at least one operating parameter for the telecommunication network; selecting at least one call aspect (i) of the transmitted voice wherein a quality of the transmitted voice shall be determined for the at least one call aspect; identifying a value of at least one quality parameter (KQI.sub.A/B, i, n) for the at least one call aspect (i) for at least one of the first telecommunication terminal and the second telecommunication terminal as a function of a value of at least one selected engineering parameter (KPI.sub.A/B) of the at least one telecommunication terminal as well as a function of the at least one operating parameter.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for communication configuration selection. One apparatus includes a receiver that receives configuration information for multiple communication configurations. The configuration information corresponds to services having different performance requirements, and the performance requirements include latency, reliability, peak data rate, efficiency overhead, control overhead, system capacity, or some combination thereof. The apparatus also includes a processor that selects a communication configuration of the multiple communication configurations. The apparatus communicates using the selected communication configuration.

Systems and methods for dynamic voice-over-internet-protocol routing

Embodiments described herein provide a dynamic voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) audio quality management mechanism in real time, e.g., when a VoIP call is ongoing. Specifically, when a VoIP call has unsatisfactory audio quality, e.g., due to packet loss, jitter, etc., the dynamic VoIP audio quality management mechanism may redirect the VoIP traffic from the previous endpoint that initiates the VoIP session to a different endpoint within the same carrier. Upon the endpoint redirection, a new call leg is established, allowing re-negotiation or re-configuration of VoIP parameters. The re-negotiated or re-configured VoIP parameters may then be used to conduct the remainder of the VoIP call to improve the audio quality.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE DURING A REAL-TIME COMMUNICATION SESSION

A method for determining a Quality of Experience associated with a real-time communication session between user devices includes monitoring the real-time communication session and determining at least one quality indicator of the Quality of Experience, at least one first performance indicator of a Quality of Service, and at least one second performance indicator of the Quality of Service. Based on the quality indicator and the first performance indicator, the method determines, among a family of correlation functions indicative of the correlation between the Quality of Experience and a Quality of Service in respect of a generic real-time communication session, a correlation function which is indicative of the correlation between the Quality of Experience and the Quality of Service in respect of the monitored real-time communication session. Then the method applies the first performance indicator and the second performance indicator to the correlation function to determine said Quality of Experience.
