Predictive connectivity service layers

A system and method is provided for a predictive connectivity layer. In the disclosed embodiments, resources, such as bandwidth, processing, and memory, at a network node are dynamically allocated based on one or more predicted user behaviors. A predicted user behavior may be determined based on one or more previous actions of a user or a group of users at the network node. For example, if a user accesses the network node to download a particular web site at the same time every morning, the predictive technique may determine that the user will attempt to download the same web site the next morning, and therefore cache a copy of the web site before the user's next attempt to access the network through the network node. Similarly, the network node may predict an amount of bandwidth or other resources to allocate based on previous behavior of one or more users.

A system for providing small cell backhaul communications includes a small cell backhaul network including a plurality of small cell network nodes each including transceivers enabling communication with at least two other small cell network nodes. A software defined network (SDN) controller controls the transceivers at each of the plurality of small cell network nodes to establish link configurations between the plurality of small cell network nodes of the small cell backhaul network. The SDN controller implements an optimizer module for managing operation the small cell backhaul network. The optimizer module uses an OpenFlow protocol to gather wireless and power consumption statistics.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR QOS AWARE SIM REFRESH

A computer device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to receive a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) refresh request. The processor may be further configured to identify one or more Quality of Service (QoS) classes for which, if an active communication session exists that is associated with at least one of the QoS classes, a SIM refresh should be rejected; access a database of active communication sessions associated with the UE device; determine that an active session, stored in the database of active communication sessions, is associated with at least one of the one or more QoS classes; and reject the SIM refresh request based on determining that the active session is associated with at least one of the one or more QoS classes.

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a service processing method, an apparatus, and a system that relate to the field of communications technologies and are used to reduce resource waste. The method includes: controlling, by a controller, a first node to send a received packet to a processing network; and controlling, by the controller, the processing network to process the packet and then send a processed packet to a second node. The first node is a base station or a network element connected to the base station, and the second node is a routing function entity; or the first node is the routing function entity, and the second node is the base station or a network element connected to the base station. The routing function entity is an anchor point of an Internet Protocol IP address of a user.

Providing differentiated QoS by dynamically segregating voice and video clients into different BSSIDs

An access category assigned to stations making probe requests, based on a station type determined. Responsive to a voice access category type determination, deep packet inspection on one or more network packets from a specific flow of the specific station to identify a specific voice application running on the specific station can be performed. A GSSID is assigned to the specific station based on the specific voice application identified, each GSSID from a plurality of GSSIDs having distinct QoS parameters for voice applications. The probe request is responded to with a probe response, wherein the probe response comprises the GSSID. Network packets can be transmitted for and network packets by the specific station comprising the GSSID utilizing the voice access category.

Set buffer state instruction

Input/output (I/O) operation requests from pageable storage mode guests are interpreted without host intervention. In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.

A communication analytics engine that executes in conjunction with a data collection platform may provide a unified and scalable solution for call data aggregation and processing. A data collection platform may establish a communication connection with a wireless carrier network. The data collection platform may collect call data of multiple user devices via the communication connection, in which the multiple user devices may use the wireless carrier network to initiate and receive calls to one or more additional devices. The data collection platform may convert the call data into a format that is readable by the communication analytics engine. The communication analytics engine may analyze the call data to generate analytic results that includes one or more key performance indicators (KPIs).
