This application disclose a data transmission method and a related apparatus. The method performed by a management apparatus includes: receiving a service request from a terminal device; determining, a target transmission path of service data corresponding to the service request and a change policy corresponding to the target transmission path; changing, according to the change policy, a current CDN a target CDN, where the target CDN includes multiple serving nodes corresponding to the target transmission path; and sending an indication to a first serving node storing the service data in the target CDN, to indicate it to send the service data to the terminal device through the target transmission path; or sending an indication to a second serving node which receives the service data through the target transmission path in the target CDN, to indicate it to send the service data to the terminal device.

Virtualized media processing pipeline

Aspects of the disclosed technology provide virtualized solutions for processing media frames. A process of the disclosed technology can include steps for receiving unprocessed media packets, de-packetizing the unprocessed media packets to produce unprocessed media frames, and sending the unprocessed media frames to a virtual media application. In some aspects, the process may further include steps for processing the unprocessed media frames, using the virtual media application, to produce processed media frames. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

A method of operating a distributed unit includes receiving a service request from a UE gateway, requesting service from a provider according to the service request, receiving a provisional contract from the provider, providing a proposal with the provisional contract to the service request to the UE gateway; and, if notified that the proposal is a winning proposal, arranging services to the UE gateway according to the proposal.

PER-PACKET TYPE PACKET LOSS MANAGEMENT

A device implementing a system for packet loss management may include a memory and at least one processor configured to identify a plurality of categories of packets provided for transmission to an electronic device. The at least one processor may be further configured to determine a respective packet loss value for a respective category of the plurality of categories of packets. The at least one processor may be further configured to identify a particular category of the plurality of categories of packets for which the determined respective packet loss value satisfies a packet loss condition. The at least one processor may be further configured to adjust subsequent transmission of packets in the particular category of packets based at least in part on the packet loss condition being satisfied by the determined respective packet loss value for the particular category of packets.

Capture, recording and streaming of media content

At least one layer may be selected from layers of media content available on a local device. An output layer may be created by capturing the at least one layer without capturing unselected layers. The output layer may include output frames captured at an initial frame rate of the local device. A desired output frame rate may be determined for the output layer. The initial frame rate of the output layer may be converted to the desired output frame rate. The output layer may be transmitted at the desired output frame rate to the media hosting service for presentation at a remote device.
