Method and system for delivering web page content using edge server
Methods, systems and programming for delivering web page content using edge server. In one example, a request is received from a user for a page including at least a piece of generic content and a plurality pieces of customized content. The request is forwarded from the user to a content server over the network. The piece of generic content and a first type of instruction are sent to the user. The piece of generic content and the first type of instruction are received from the content server as a response to the forwarded request. Each of the plurality pieces of customized content is sent to the user upon receiving a respective piece of customize content from the content server. The plurality pieces of customized content are to be assembled on the page in accordance with the first type of instruction.
Media network environment
A network media environment includes a first hub network and a second hub network. The first hub network encompasses a first local environment based on a first server which is coupled to a first client. The second hub network encompasses a second local environment based on a second server which is also coupled to the first client. The first local environment and the second local environment overlap. The second local environment is movable with a movement of the second server.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SMART NETWORK CONNECTION MANAGEMENT
A mobile device is provided. The mobile device includes a memory configured to store a plurality of applications, a communication circuit including a first communication module and a second communication module, and a processor electrically connected with the communication circuit. The processor is configured to execute an application among the plurality of applications, determine a communication state of the first network and a communication state of the second network in response to executing the application, select one of the first network and the second network based on the communication state of the first network, the communication state of the second network, a tariff applied to the mobile device, a service policy applied to the application, performance criteria applied to the application, and network selection criteria, and download data from a server associated with the application using the selected network.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACHIEVING IMPROVED QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) FOR CONTENT DELIVERY IN A SDN CONTROLLER BASED COMMUNICATION NETWORK
In one embodiment, an application server to achieve improved quality of service (QoS) for content delivery in a communication network is disclosed. The application server receives a request from a client device to deliver content to the client device. The application server determines a relative priority of each of a plurality of content delivery servers in the communication network based on at least one of one or more parameters and a configuration file. The application server identifies at least one content delivery server from the plurality of content delivery servers based on relative priority. The application server identifies a shortest path for the content delivery between the identified at least one content delivery server and the client device based on one or more pre-defined rules. The application server further transmits the content from the identified at least one content delivery server to the client device via the identified shortest path.
CROSS-DOMAIN SERVICE OPTIMIZATION
A method for cross-domain service optimization is implemented on a computing device and includes defining at least one key quality indicator (KQI) target for at least one end-to-end (E2E) service, where the at least one E2E service crosses more than one domain of a communications network, receiving an indication of quality of experience (QoE) for the at least one E2E service, based on the indication of QoE, translating the at least one KQI target to at least one set of service optimization instructions for each domain from among the more than one domain, and for said each domain, applying the service optimization instructions.
FLOW EXTENSION CONTROLLER
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for flow control. In one aspect, there is provided a method, wherein the method may include monitoring, by an external flow controller, a workflow at a first cloud application to determine whether at least one condition is satisfied to extend the workflow to a second cloud application external to the first cloud application; diverting, by the external flow controller, when the at least one condition is satisfied; handling, by the external flow controller, a request to divert the workflow to the second cloud application by at least formatting the request in accordance with configuration information at the external flow controller; sending, by the external flow controller, the workflow to the second cloud application; receiving, by the external flow controller, a result to incorporate into the workflow at the first cloud application; and/or proceeding with the workflow at the first cloud application.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING ADVICE FOR IMPROVING INTERNET AND WIFI PERFORMANCE IN A NETWORK USING MACHINE-LEARNING TECHNIQUES
A system and method collects data about a device on a premises and uses a machine-learning advice engine to automatically identify specific conditions affecting home internet and WiFi performance, determine possible root causes underlying such conditions, provide an actionable advice or one or more pieces of advice to address, modify, resolve, or repair the conditions, and implement automated fixes where applicable in order to optimize and improve the internet and WiFi performance in a home network.
Systems, Methods and Devices for Networked Media Distribution
A domain manager configured to manage and/or configure an audio-video (AV) system but not directly participate in networked media transmission or clock synchronization. The domain manager may include a database; an endpoint manager configured to communicate with the database, the endpoint manager being configured to setup and maintain secure connections to and from media devices and controllers; and at least one management module configured to communicate with the database and provide services to the media devices and controllers. In embodiments, the at least one management module may include at least one of a manager for managing credentials and grouping devices into domains, a device directory for managing device registrations and lookup, and an access controller for managing and/or evaluating access control policy.
AUGMENTED/MIXED REALITY VIRTUAL VENUE PIPELINE OPTIMIZATION
Augmented/mixed reality virtual venue pipeline optimization is provided. A method can include acquiring, by a device comprising a processor, information relating to a group of augmented reality applications operating in an area; designating, by the device, an augmented reality application of the group of augmented reality applications as a priority application based on the information relating to the group of augmented reality applications; and granting, by the device, prioritized access to edge network resources in a sub-area comprising at least a portion of the area to the priority application relative to at least one non-priority application of the group of augmented reality applications.
Apparatus and methods for managing quality of experience during the delivery of content
Apparatus and methods for managing the quality of experience of delivery of content to end-point or user devices. In one embodiment, metrics data pertaining to network conditions being experienced by consumer devices attached to a managed network are monitored by a network entity. The monitored metrics are analyzed to determine if a consumer device is experiencing poor network conditions, such as network congestion. A consumer device that is identified as experiencing poor network conditions is reported to a content delivery network (CDN) entity responsible for providing IP-based content. The CDN entity adjusts content delivery files used by the consumer device to request particular IP-based content and to select a version of the content suitable for delivery over consumer device's existing network condition. The adjustment may include for instance removing formats deemed unsupportable for delivery over the existing network condition or identify a default format for the consumer device to use.
