System and method to protect resource allocation in stateful connection managers

A computing system and related method protect a computer network connection manager's resources from attempted resource attacks by extracting SrcIP and TTL values from received data packet headers. Extracted SrcIP and TTL values are analyzed to determine the probability that a received data packet is malicious. If the probability exceeds a specified threshold, resources are denied, and the packet is dropped. If the specified threshold is not exceeded, resources are allocated to the received data packet. The SrcIP reputation score, TTL value frequency, SrcIP frequency, SrcIP geo-location, and resource occupancy may all be used in computing the probability of a malicious data packet. These factors may be weighted and summed to calculate the probability of a malicious data packet.

A method for managing network slices for the benefit of users monitors and obtains key performance indicators configured by a user, the indicator values being collected in real time and visually presented. When a user wants to optimize the network slices, weightings, value intervals, and variables are applied by the user to target key performance indicators. The network slices are optimized by a particle swarm algorithm configured by the user. A device and a computer readable and permanent storage medium for executing the network slices management method are also disclosed.

Instructions are received from the first user to schedule a start time and a shutdown time of at least one online cloud resource connected to the multi-cloud resource scheduler. An availability of the at least one online cloud resource is established for access by a second user based on the instructions.
