Technique for acquiring and correlating session-related information from an internet protocol multimedia subsystem

A technique for acquiring and correlating session-related information from an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, is described. The technique comprises the acquisition of control plane information from control plane signalling tapped at an IMS control entity, the acquisition of user plane information from user plane traffic tapped at an IMS user plane entity, and the acquisition of context information from tapped signalling between the IMS control entity and the IMS user plane entity. The acquired context information permits to correlate the control plane information and the user plane information acquired for a particular session.

Seamless communication resource transition between a group-based communication system and an external communication system

Method, apparatus and computer program product for seamless communication resource transition are described herein. A user may wish to share an external communication resource within a group-based communication system. Settings may be provided allowing the user to more effectively share the external communication resource. The user may select the appropriate settings such that the external communication resource can be transmitted to the group-based communication system for display in accordance with the selected settings.

In one embodiment, a method includes initiating a real-time multimedia communication session with one or more other communication devices, detecting that an audio input level for an audio sample is lower than a threshold level based on sensor data from an audio sensor associated with the communication device, triggering a silence-detection timer, and entering, upon an expiration of the silence-detection timer, into a silence mode. Another method includes displaying one or more applications to a user, determining a context in which the user is interacting with the one or more applications and determining, based on the context, that the user intends to retrieve at least one message of the plurality of messages while the user is interacting with the one or more applications, generating a confidence score for each of the plurality of messages based on the user intent to retrieve the at least one message.

Technology for automatic cross-device meeting authentication. An example method involving initializing, by a first computing device, a real-time meeting communication session, wherein the first computing device is connected to a media system; receiving information indicative of a mobile computing device of a user being in a physical presence of the first computing device, wherein the user is associated with the mobile device and a second computing device; granting control of the real-time meeting communication session from the mobile computing device of the user to the first computing device; transmitting an instruction that causes the second computing device to display a user interface element associated with the real-time meeting communication session, wherein the instruction is sent after granting the control; and granting control of the real-time meeting communication session to the second computing device of the user in response to a selection of the user interface element.

Methods, systems, and computer readable media for optimized inter-session border controller (SBC) attended call transfer with re-use of transfer target session

A first SBC establishes a first media session between a transferor and a transferee. A second SBC establishes a second media session between the transferor and a transfer target. The first SBC receives a REFER message initiated by the transferor and determines that a dialog ID in the REFER message does not correspond to a media session currently being handled by the first SBC. The first SBC sends a SIP INVITE message to a plurality of SBCs, including the second SBC, that are in a load sharing group with the first SBC. The SIP INVITE message includes the dialog ID associated with the second media session, which triggers the second SBC to re-use the second media session to establish a media session between the transferee and the transfer target.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATING AND MANAGING BREAKOUT SESSIONS FOR A CONFERENCE SESSION

Systems and methods for creating, monitoring, and managing a breakout conference for a conference call are disclosed. The methods determine topics for breakout rooms and their complexity scores. A breakout room is created for the topics, including separate breakout rooms for complex topics. An expertise score based on a plurality of factors for each device associated with a participant is also calculated. Devices are assigned to separate breakout rooms based on either just the expertise score or if the expertise score meets the threshold of the complexity score. Performance within the breakout rooms is displayed in real-time, such as in a graph. A moderator schedule is generated based the performance within the breakout rooms, where priority is given to a breakout room that has a negative performance over a breakout room with a positive performance.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-PARTY COMMUNICATION OF TRENDING TOPICS

A system and method for multi-party communication includes determining a trending common identifier within a media platform and generating a communication channel within a communication platform based on the common identifier. The method and system includes, in response to a join request from each of a plurality of users, connecting the plurality of users to the communication channel, where the communication channel is an open communication channel for active audio communication between the plurality of users across the communication platform and facilitating audio communication between the plurality of users, including providing a visual display on the communication platform, including visual display of the active audio communication across the communication platform.

INTER-RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY HANDOFF PROCEDURE

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, UE communicates data associated with a communication session over a first RAT (e.g., LTE, NR, WLAN, etc.) in accordance with a first set of performance parameters (e.g., codec, QoS, bitrate, bandwidth, etc.). UE performs, during the communication session, an inter-RAT handover from the first RAT to a second RAT (e.g., LTE, NR, WLAN, etc.). UE transmits a re-INVITE over the second RAT in response to the inter-RAT handover. UE receives an indication of a second set of performance parameters (e.g., codec, QoS, bitrate, bandwidth, etc.) in response to the re-INVITE. UE communicates data associated with the communication session over the second RAT in accordance with the second set of performance parameters.

Methods and systems to identify options of secondary client devices for a device handover of game play include establishing a session of game play of a game for a primary client device by executing the game on a server for streaming video frames to the primary client device. A request is received to generate a profile of one or more secondary client devices that are identified to be local to the primary client device. The profile is configured to identify device attributes for the secondary client devices. A handover option is provided to the primary client device during game play, identifying one or more of the secondary client devices, based on the profile. A selection of a secondary client device identified by the handover option received from the primary client device causes pausing of the streaming of video frames to the primary client device, saving a game state for the game and providing an option to resume play of the game on the secondary client device. A resume request received from the secondary client device causes the game state for the game to be accessed and game play resumed so as to continue streaming video frames to the secondary client device.

Systems and methods for rapid content switching to provide a linear TV experience using streaming content distribution

Systems and methods for rapid content switching between pieces of content presented in a plurality of stations using streaming content distribution in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. One embodiment includes processing a portion of a station manifest that includes identifiers for content stations and identifiers for pieces of content associated with content stations, selecting jump points that are associated with specific locations within pieces of content, determining a current content station, playing a portion of a current piece of content associated with the current content station, determining alternative pieces of content using the station manifest, preparing additional content for playback at each of the jump points by preparing alternative pieces of content during playback of the current content, receiving a user instruction during playback, selecting a target jump point based upon the user instruction, and commencing playback of additional content starting from the target jump point.
