Image generation apparatus, head mounted display, image generation system, image generation method, and program

A rendering section renders an object in a virtual space to generate a computer graphics image. A post-process section post-processes the computer graphics image. A transmitting and receiving section transmits the post-processed computer graphics image together with depth information to a head mounted display for superimposing the post-processed computer graphics image on a captured image in a real space.

Image rendering responsive to user actions in head mounted display

Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for rendering images on a head mounted display (HMD). One method includes operations for tracking, with one or more first cameras inside the HMD, the gaze of a user and for tracking motion of the HMD. The motion of the HMD is tracked by analyzing images of the HMD taken with a second camera that is not in the HMD. Further, the method includes an operation for predicting the motion of the gaze of the user based on the gaze and the motion of the HMD. Rendering policies for a plurality of regions, defined on a view rendered by the HMD, are determined based on the predicted motion of the gaze. The images are rendered on the view based on the rendering policies.

Handheld location based games are provided in which a user's physical location correlates to the virtual location of a virtual character on a virtual playfield.

Augmented Reality (AR) systems are provided in which video game indicia are overlaid onto .a user's physical environment. A landscape detector is provided that may obtain information about the user's landscape, in addition to the user's location, in order to provide overlaying information to an AR head-mounted display and control information to non-user controlled video game characters.

Virtual scene display method and apparatus, and storage medium

Embodiments of this application provide a virtual scene display method performed at a computing device. The method includes: obtaining animation data and video data; displaying an animation interface corresponding to the animation data in an animation display area of a display interface, the animation interface including a first virtual scene including a plurality of animation elements; and playing a video clip in the video data in response to an operation on the animation elements in the animation interface, the video clip presenting a picture of transformation from the first virtual scene to a second virtual scene. A virtual scene display solution provided in the embodiments of this application can reduce resource consumption of an intelligent device and reduce picture stutter.

An information processing device for drawing an object arranged in a three-dimensional virtual space, in an expression viewed from a virtual camera, the object including a field object associated with a two-dimensional plane defined by a first axis and a second axis, and a specific object arranged on the field object, the device including: a change processing unit changing a region of the field object falling within a viewing angle of the virtual camera; and a deformation processing unit deforming the field object, in which in a case where the region is changed by the change processing unit, the deformation processing unit makes a deformation mode of the field object different when it is determined that the specific object is positioned in the region after being changed and when it is determined that the specific object is not positioned in the region after being changed.

In-game display control method and apparatus, storage medium, processor, and terminal

An in-game display control method and apparatus, a storage medium, a processor, and a terminal are provided. The method includes that: a touch area is configured on a graphical user interface; in response to a first touch operation acting on the touch area, a movement of a preset virtual character in a game scene is controlled according to the first touch operation; a scene display area is updated according to a first position of the preset virtual character in the game scene; whether a preset specific event exists in a preset area of the first position is detected; when the specific event is detected to exist in the preset area of the first position, event attribute information of the specific event is acquired; and the scene display area in the game scene is updated according to the event attribute information.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR VIRTUAL COMPETITION

A system configured to be coupled with a participant of an activity. The system comprises: a participant activity monitoring unit configured for monitoring a performance of the activity by the participant; an activity information module configured for storing performance information corresponding to the activity; and a participant performance correlator configured for delivering comparative performance data based on the monitored performance of the activity by the participant and the stored performance information.
