DECENTRALIZED MANAGEMENT OF SOFTWARE CONFIGURATIONS

A peer-to-peer decentralized software configuration manager is described. The peer-to-peer system provides a crowdsourced mechanism to determine and recommend the efficient software configurations. A computer system may subscribe to a ring or group of network connected computers. Once subscribed, the computer system receives a ring data structure that may include one or more software configuration entries. The ring data structure is accessible to each subscribed computer system to the currently installed software configurations and document the relative success or failure of those configurations. The ring data structure may be utilized to identify a more efficient or user friendly software configuration that is currently installed and utilized by a subscribed computer system.

METHOD AND CORRESPONDING TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK FOR SECURE DATA TRANSMISSIONS BASED ON GRAPH DATABASE

A method of communication between nodes in a telecommunications network. Each node maintains a copy of a shared digital ledger, is identified by a respective identification code and implements a software application configured to manage the transmission of data packets and maintain the shared digital ledger. The method includes: memorizing a list of identification codes, each code identifying a respective node included in a subset of nodes of the network, identifying a receiver node to transmit the data packet, generating a data packet to be delivered to a recipient node, transmitting to the first node of the minimum sequence of nodes the data packet, issuing a request to the network nodes to record the data packet transmission in the distributed ledger, and when a data packet is received, the method requires that each receiver node, other than the recipient node of the data packet, repeats at least some steps.

Disclosed herein are examples of systems and methods for tailoring the posting of notifications based on device activity status. A client device can collect activity data associated with the client device. The client device can provide the activity data to a management service. The client device can receive from the management service a command to disable a capability of an application installed on the client device to post notifications. The client device can cause the capability of the application to post notifications to be disabled.

Systems and methods for geofence information delivery are disclosed. A multiplicity of devices constructed and configured in network communication in a region of interest via a peer-to-peer network. The multiplicity of devices store cached geofence information for the region of interest. The multiplicity of devices on the peer-to-peer network are operable to convert between an IP address and a geographic location. Each of the multiplicity of devices is operable to query peer devices on the peer-to-peer network for geofences associated with an IP address or a geographic location. At least one peer device is operable to deliver one or more geofences associated with the IP address to the querying device via zero-configuration networking or web service.

Systems and methods for cloud-based application access to resources of local hosts by arbitrating access using local host agent applications

Systems and methods which facilitate access to computing resources by cloud-based applications are described. Embodiments enable cloud-based applications to provide output to and/or obtain input from computing resources, such as printers, scales, scanners, and storage devices, for performing various functions. In operation according to embodiments, a user agent client application is executed by computing equipment in communication with a computing resource to which access is to be provided to one or more cloud-based applications. Although embodiments implement a user interface client application which is separate from a user agent client application, tight integration between a user interface client application and user agent client application may be provided. Embodiments not only facilitate operation whereby a cloud-based application is enabled to provide output to and/or obtain input from computing resources, but also facilitate remote and/or shared client interaction with such computing resources.

Method, apparatus, client terminal, and server for data processing

Embodiments of the present specification provide a method, an apparatus, a client terminal, and a server for data processing. The method includes: selecting, based on a data attribute of to-be-processed data, a target coordinating server from a plurality of coordinating servers, the plurality of coordinating servers belonging to a plurality of server clusters respectively; and sending a data processing request to the target coordinating server, such that a server cluster to which the target coordinating server belongs processes the data processing request preferentially, the data processing request directing to the to-be-processed data.

Pruning a Distributed Database for an Ad-Hoc Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Network
20230231910 · 2023-07-20 ·

Embodiments may relate to pruning a distributed database for a peer-to-peer (P2P) network. A node may transmit a first multicast beacon over the P2P network. The node may receive a unicast synchronization request in response to the first multicast beacon, the unicast synchronization request comprising a removed list for the distributed database. The node may compare the removed list to a locally stored node list to determine a node removal. The node may determine if there is a failure in a node information call made to a node relating to the node removal. The node may, subsequent to a determination of the failure, update the locally stored node list based on the node removal. The node may transmit a second multicast beacon comprising the node removal. Nodes receiving the second multicast beacon may update a locally stored removed list using the node removal.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SPATIAL RENDERING OF MULTI-USER VOICE COMMUNICATION

An illustrative application executing on a first device establishes a first network connection between the first device and a collaboration platform server managing a set of components for a collaboration platform providing voice communication services with respect to a virtual space. Using the first network connection, the application: 1) sets a first location within the virtual space at which a first voice component is positioned, and 2) determines a second location within the virtual space at which a second voice component is positioned. The application receives, by way of a second network connection between the first and second devices, audio data representing voice communication originating at the second device. Based on the first and second locations, the application generates a spatialized rendering of the audio data for presentation to a user. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.
