Techniques for coordinating parallel performance and cancellation of commands in a storage cluster system
Various embodiments are directed to techniques for coordinating at least partially parallel performance and cancellation of data access commands between nodes of a storage cluster system. An apparatus may include a processor component of a first node coupled to a first storage device storing client device data; an access component to perform replica data access commands of replica command sets on the client device data, each replica command set assigned a set ID; a communications component to analyze a set ID included in a network packet to determine whether a portion of a replica command set in the network packet is redundant, and to reassemble the replica command set from the portion based if the portion is not redundant; and an ordering component to provide the communications component with set IDs of replica command sets of which the access component has fully performed the set of replica data access commands.

A method for providing a service for image sharing and feedback is provided. The method includes providing a software application to execute on a computing device wherein the software application includes a photo war component and a photo contest component. The photo war component provides for presenting users multiple photos and receiving a selection of one of the multiple photos and the photo contest component provides for presenting users with multiple photos and receiving votes or likes for the photo.

Based on the investigation to be conducted (e.g., type of investigation, location of investigation, personnel involved, etc.), a computing system may obtain different amounts/types of resources from the server. The investigation may be conducted via a web application that runs on the computing system. The web application may access the resources obtained from the server. The results of the investigation may be sent by the computing system to the server. The computing system may receive updates from the server. The computing system may act as a server for other remote systems that are conducting investigations.

The corporate directory can provide access to user accounts for all members of the organization to all content items in the organization directory on the respective file systems of the members' client devices. Members can reach any content item at the same path as other members relative to the organization directory root on their respective client device. In some embodiments novel access permissions are granted to maintain path consistency.

Accelerating data replication using multicast and non-volatile memory enabled nodes
A method for accelerating data operations across a plurality of nodes of one or more clusters of a distributed computing environment. Rack awareness information characterizing the plurality of nodes is retrieved and a non-volatile memory (NVM) capability of each node is determined. A write operation is received at a management node of the plurality of nodes and one or more of the rack awareness information and the NVM capability of the plurality of nodes are analyzed to select one or more nodes to receive at least a portion of the write operation, wherein at least one of the selected nodes has an NVM capability. A multicast group for the write operation is then generated wherein the selected nodes are subscribers of the multicast group, and the multicast group is used to perform hardware accelerated read or write operations at one or more of the selected nodes.
Accelerating data replication using multicast and non-volatile memory enabled nodes
A method for accelerating data operations across a plurality of nodes of one or more clusters of a distributed computing environment. Rack awareness information characterizing the plurality of nodes is retrieved and a non-volatile memory (NVM) capability of each node is determined. A write operation is received at a management node of the plurality of nodes and one or more of the rack awareness information and the NVM capability of the plurality of nodes are analyzed to select one or more nodes to receive at least a portion of the write operation, wherein at least one of the selected nodes has an NVM capability. A multicast group for the write operation is then generated wherein the selected nodes are subscribers of the multicast group, and the multicast group is used to perform hardware accelerated read or write operations at one or more of the selected nodes.
