Special lock mode user interface
The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for managing input mechanisms. In some examples, the electronic device transitions from a first mode into a second mode in accordance with a determination that the one or more characteristics of a user input detected via a second input mechanism of the electronic device meet a set of predefined criteria. In the first mode, a first input mechanism of the electronic device is disabled for user input. In the second mode, the first input mechanism of the electronic device is enabled for user input.

Devices and methods for efficient emergency calling
Disclosed are devices, systems, methods, and media for efficient emergency calling using digital devices. In some embodiments, a user is able to make an emergency call by a one-touch or dual-touch process. An authentication process may reduce inadvertent and unauthorized emergency calling. Persistent emergency buttons are also disclosed that may be used for calling emergency in different states of the device.
Control button decal assembly
A control button decal assembly for enhancing visibility of control buttons on an electronic device includes a set of first decals, a set of second decals and a set of third decals that can each be chosen for positioning on a respective control button on an electronic device. Each of the first decals, the second decals and the third decals is brightly colored to enhance visibility of the respective control button. Each of the first decals, the second decals and the third decals has a color that is unique with respect to each other. In this way the set of first decals, the set of second decals and the set of third decals facilitate the user to have a variety of choices of colors which can be associated with the respective control button.
Fingerprint sensor with differently sized sensing structures
A fingerprint sensor comprising a plurality of electrically conductive sensing structures arranged in a sensing plane for capacitively sensing a fingerprint of a finger placed on the finger receiving surface of the fingerprint sensor arrangement, the plurality of electrically conductive sensing structures including: a first set of electrically conductive sensing structures, each sensing structure in the first set of electrically conductive sensing structures covering an area in the sensing plane being within a first area range; and a second set of electrically conductive sensing structures, each sensing structure in the second set of electrically conductive sensing structures covering an area in the sensing plane being within a second area range only including areas greater than the areas within the first area range.
Touch sensing device and electronic device including touch sensing device
A touch sensing device includes: a first sensing coil having conductivity; a second sensing coil having conductivity; a substrate having a space accommodating either one or both of the first sensing coil and the second sensing coil, wherein at least a portion of the substrate is disposed between the first sensing coil and the second sensing coil; and an elastic member configured to be compressed as external pressure is applied and the substrate descends.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present disclosure provides an electronic device, including: a first shell, a driven component, and a first control component, where the first control component is disposed in the first shell or on the driven component, an accommodation hole is formed on the first shell, and the driven component may be retracted into the first shell or may be at least partially protruded from the shell through the accommodation hole.
Single-control image-taking apparatus
According to one embodiment, an image-taking apparatus wherein a first actuation of a control element locks image-taking parameters and a subsequent actuation of this control element causes a picture to be taken. In one embodiment, the apparatus is a cellular telephone equipped with a camera wherein a first press on the volume up button locks focus and exposure. The photographer can then recompose the picture according to the ‘half-press’ technique and take a picture with a subsequent press on the volume up button. Other embodiments are described.
Key structure, key input method and electronic device using the same
The disclosure relates to a key structure, a key input method, and an electronic device using the same, and an operating method of an electronic device includes: identifying an input operation, by comparing output values of at least two sensors provided on a side surface of the electronic device and a threshold value; determining whether a function corresponding to the identified input operation exists; and, based on the corresponding function existing, executing the corresponding function. Accordingly, the electronic device can receive various input operations under a keyless structure.
