Methods and Devices for Precluding Execution of Functions Associated with Touch Actuators
An electronic device includes a device housing supporting a touch actuator operable to initiate a predefined function of the electronic device. One or more processors of the electronic device are operable with the touch actuator. The one or more processors preclude initiation of the predefined function when a predefined condition occurs while the touch actuator is actuated.
Special lock mode user interface
The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for managing input mechanisms. In some examples, the electronic device transitions from a first mode into a second mode in accordance with a determination that the one or more characteristics of a user input detected via a second input mechanism of the electronic device meet a set of predefined criteria. In the first mode, a first input mechanism of the electronic device is disabled for user input. In the second mode, the first input mechanism of the electronic device is enabled for user input.
Smart phone case combination keyboard for blind
The present invention relates to a smart phone case combination keyboard for the blind that includes: a cover main body having a mounting space to which a smart phone is mounted so as to expose a display unit on an upper surface, a plurality of lower key holes formed toward downward on a lower surface, and a front key hole respectively formed on a left and right of a surface toward frontward; a keyboard cover embedded in the main body, having a plurality of keys respectively protruded through the lower key holes and operated by a thumb of a hand gripping the cover main body as a first front key and a second front key are protruded through each of the front key holes; a communication module performing communication between the smart phone and the keyboard; and a controller that controls to perform pairing with the smart phone through the communication module and to transmit a key input signal of the keyboard to the smart phone through the communication by the communication module. According to the present invention, the smart phone may be stably gripped and the stable typing enable due to the keyboard arrangement on the lower surface while protecting the smart phone from external impact, and it is possible to provide the call mode along with the keyboard arrangement to enable the convenient use of the blind and improve the speed and accuracy of the typing through the use of the thumb that is not normally used for the typing, the unwanted separation may be prevented by the comfortable and stable gripping.
Compact pivoting input device
An input device includes an input structure, a magnet attached to the input structure, and an electromagnet. The magnet rotates when the electromagnet is activated, thereby rotating the input structure. The magnet and input structure rotate about a pivot in order to provide haptic and/or visual feedback to a user. The pivot may attach the magnet and input structure to a body, which in turn may be affixed to, or part of, an electronic device. The electromagnet can encircle the body and/or magnet.
Electronic Device Having a Sealed Biometric Input System
A portable electronic device may include a housing member defining a side surface of the portable electronic device, a portion of the housing member defining a side wall of a hole extending through the housing member, a button member positioned along the side surface and defining a chassis portion and a hollow post extending into the hole defined through the housing member, and a first waterproof seal defined between the hollow post and the side wall of the hole. The portable electronic device may also include a biometric sensing component coupled to the chassis portion, a flexible circuit element extending through the hollow post and conductively coupling the biometric sensing component to a component within the housing, and a second waterproof seal defined within the hollow post.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING SIDE KEY COMPRISING ANTENNA
Provided is an electronic device including a conductive housing including a first face facing a first direction, a second face facing a second direction opposite to the first direction, and a lateral face surrounding at least part of a space constructed between the first face and the second face, a printed circuit board seated inside the housing, and a side key fastened to an edge region of the housing, wherein the side key include a button portion of which one face covers a first through-hole constructed on the lateral face and the other face is exposed to the outside, an actuation portion extending from the face of the button portion covering the first through-hole towards the inside of the housing in such a manner that at least part of the extending portion is inserted to the first through-hole and at least part of the inserted portion moves in a third direction parallel to a normal direction of the lateral face of the housing according to whether the button portion is pressed, a side key circuit board including an outer contact portion pressed by a movement of the actuation portion and an inner contact portion which is in contact with the outer contact portion according to whether the outer contact portion is pressed, and including a switch module which produces an electric signal due to the contact of the outer contact portion and the inner contact portion, a side key bracket on which at least part of the side key circuit board is seated and which fixes and supports the side key circuit board, and an antenna which uses the first through-hole as an antenna aperture for transmitting/receiving radio waves. In addition thereto, various embodiments understood through this document are possible.
Signal input device and portable terminal including same
The signal input device according to an embodiment of the present inventive concept may have effects in that the number of buttons included in the signal input device can be reduced because different types of input signals can be generated depending on a direction of a laterally pushed manipulation force, and a configuration can be simplified, a production cost can be significantly reduced and two or more input signals can be simultaneously generated because a laterally pushed manipulation force can be detected although a separate pressure sensor is not provided.
CASE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A case for an electronic device comprising a touch member disposed at a side portion of the electronic device, and a touch sensing device disposed inside the electronic device is provided. The case includes a case body including a side portion and coupled to cover at least a part of an external surface of the electronic device; a conductor disposed in a first area of the side portion of the case body, and configured to face the touch member when the case is coupled to the electronic device, and a dielectric member disposed on one side of the conductor, where the conductor is comprised of a conductive material.
