COMMUNICATION BETWEEN USERS OF A TELEPHONE SYSTEM
Each user of a telecommunications system may speak and record their own name, in their own voice, and a recording of their spoken name may subsequently he accessed by or delivered to other users of the system, thereby facilitating communication between users by enabling users to better know how to pronounce the names of other users. A user may listen to the recorded spoken name of another user before placing a call to another user. When a user joins a conference call, their spoken name may be announced to other users (attendees) already in the call. A user joining a conference call may listen to the recorded spoken names of attendees in the call. A button on users' phones may invoke these features.
Communications terminal, a system and a method for internet/network telephony
A communication terminal for Internet telephony is provided that handles and control communication of data in accordance with a standardized network protocol and exchanges data with a connecting unit connected to the Internet where the resulting data exchanged between the terminal and a connecting unit consist of packets in a standardized protocol data packet format embedded in a wireless format. This provides a communications terminal which uses a network or the Internet for the transfer of digitized speech, etc., thereby achieving great economic savings. Also, the flexibility is increased with respect to wireless communication with the network or the Internet without any need for specialized equipment and functionality.
Voice-controlled closed caption display
A method is implemented on a server system for initiating by voice display of closed captions (CC) for media content. The server system receives a voice message recorded by an electronic device, and determines that the voice message is a first CC initiation request including a user voice command to initiate closed captions and a user voice designation of a display device playing the media content for which closed captions are to be activated. The server system identifies in a device registry a cast device associated in a user domain with the electronic device and coupled to the designated display device, and sends a second CC initiation request to the cast device, thereby enabling the cast device to execute a media play application that controls the designated display device to turn on and display the closed captions of media content currently displayed on the designated display device.
UNIFIED MESSAGE SEARCH
The disclosed embodiments include computerized methods, systems, and devices, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for generating terms of a search query based on a user's spoken utterances, identifying multiple cross-platform messages based on the generated terms, and to generating, via a presentation device, a single interface that enables the user to interact with identified messages. Based on a spoken utterance, the disclosed embodiments may determine user-specified search terms and/or criteria, and based on the user-specified search terms and/or criteria, may obtain cross-platform message data that corresponds to the search query. The communications device may generate one or more interface elements that describe corresponding ones of the cross-platform messages, which may be presented within a unified graphical user interface or voice-user interface by a communications device.
Multiple concurrent voice assistants
Techniques are described herein for concurrent voice assistants. A method includes: providing first and second automated assistants with access to one or more microphones; receiving, from the first automated assistant, an indication that the first automated assistant has initiated a first session, and in response: continuing providing, to the first automated assistant, access to the one or more microphones; discontinuing providing, to the second automated assistant, access to the one or more microphones; and preventing the second automated assistant from accessing one or more portions of an output audio data stream; receiving, from the first automated assistant, an indication that the first session has ended, and in response: continuing providing, to the first automated assistant, access to the one or more microphones; resuming providing, to the second automated assistant, access to the one or more microphones; and resuming providing, to the second automated assistant, the output audio data stream.
Microphone with Integrated Sound Box
A microphone with integrated speaker which includes a front casing with a front connecting portion and a front handle portion having a battery opening; a rear casing with a rear connecting portion and a rear handle portion connected to the front casing to form a first cavity with a cylindrical connecting portion and a cylindrical handle portion with a second cavity; a metallic net cover coupled with the cylindrical connecting portion; a vocal pickup support arrangement provided inside the metallic net cover between the front connecting portion and the rear connecting portion in which a vocal pickup unit is provided; a speaker positioned inside the first cavity; a pair of electrode plates positioned inside the second cavity; a circuit board affixed on the front casing; a battery cover detachably connected to the front handle portion; and an aluminum alloy handle covers the cylindrical handle portion.
Hybridized client-server speech recognition
A recipient computing device can receive a speech utterance to be processed by speech recognition and segment the speech utterance into two or more speech utterance segments, each of which can be to one of a plurality of available speech recognizers. A first one of the plurality of available speech recognizers can be implemented on a separate computing device accessible via a data network. A first segment can be processed by the first recognizer and the results of the processing returned to the recipient computing device, and a second segment can be processed by a second recognizer implemented at the recipient computing device.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MOBILE TERMINAL USING MACHINE LEARNING
Provided are a mobile terminal including an artificial intelligent agent and a method for controlling a mobile terminal using machine learning. A mobile terminal comprises a microphone, a learning data unit configured to identify and store keywords and a controller configured to: activate the microphone in response to an activation event, receive a voice input via the microphone, extract vocabulary information from the received voice input and execute a control corresponding to command information included in the received voice input, wherein the executed control is varied by utilizing the keywords and the extracted vocabulary information.
Enabling voice control of telephone device
A system capable of connecting a device to a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) using an adapter. The adapter may connect to the PSTN and send audio data between the PSTN and a server via a data network, enabling the device to communicate over the PSTN. In addition, the adapter enables a telephone connected to a home telephone circuit to perform voice commands, by sending audio data from the telephone to the server and the server determining voice commands included in the audio data. In addition, the system may enable additional functionality for the home telephone circuit, such as three way calling, avoiding charge calls, detecting outgoing alarm signals and triggering an alarm response, monitoring call statistics of telephone calls and sending intercom signals to telephones connected to the home telephone circuit.
Voice over IP method for developing interactive voice response system
A process performed by a personal interactive voice communication system includes accepting settings of interactive voice communication system prompts for a communication address to which communications are received by the personal interactive voice communication system. The process includes mapping, in response to instructions specific to the network communication address, actions to correspond to selections of set interactive voice communication system prompts. The process also includes identifying a selection of an interactive voice communication system prompt and executing a mapped action corresponding to the selection identified. Voice communications to and from the personal interactive voice communication system are transmitted as packets over the internet via a network server that coordinates communications for personal interactive voice communication systems.
