System for transiting emergency communications
Described are techniques for determining an emergency event and associating label data with emergency communications to ensure that the emergency communications are provided with a greater quality and priority than non-emergency communications. When a quantity of communications associated with a network exceeds a threshold value, policy data may be generated and provided to network devices. The policy data may be configured to cause the network devices to transit communications associated with label data with high quality and connectivity. Correspondence between communications from the network and stored values indicative of emergency communications may be used to determine emergency communications from other data. Label data may be associated with the determined emergency communications to cause network devices to transit the communications in the manner indicated by the policy data.
Reduction in network congestion
A system, method and non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that when read by a processor perform receiving a list including a plurality of possible recipients of telephony network connections, the recipients identified by a telephony number, determining a status characteristic of the intended recipient based on the addressing information, based on the status characteristic, determining whether the intended recipient would successfully receive a telephony connection request if the telephony connection request was forwarded to the intended recipient, and indicating the determination of whether the intended recipient would successfully receive the telephony connection request on the list.
Concurrent collaboration conference port management
Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a collaboration conferencing system to track a total number of concurrently utilized ports across any number of conferencing bridges of the network for a particular customer and one or more billing actions may occur based on this tracking. This may result in an alternate billing option for the customer's use of the system. Further, a telecommunications network administrator may provide access to the collaboration conferencing system based on a total number of concurrently utilized ports rather than on a per conference or per minute basis. With the information of the number of purchased ports by the customer, the administrator may more accurately predict an available capacity for the collaboration conferencing system needed to support all of the users of the system and the potential collaboration conferences.
Managing a telephone communication system to dynamically throttle call attempts and reduce congestions during mass call events
A device is configured to detect congestion and throttle phone calls in a telephone communication system. The device is configure to receive, from a telephone dialing system, an indication indicating a call failure to a phone number; determine that the phone number matches a flooding group number based on initial digits of the phone number, the flooding group number associated with a flooding group, the flooding group including a plurality of phone numbers with initial digits having identical values to the flooding group number; determine a time of the call failure and a number of concurrent active calls for the flooding group at the time of the call failure; and in response to the number of concurrent active calls at the time of the call failure exceeding a predefined threshold, update a capacity limit for the flooding group based on the number of concurrent active calls.
Communication system and communication method
Communication systems and communication methods are provided, by which load of a communication network when measuring a voice communication quality can be suppressed. A test signal for voice communication quality evaluation is transmitted to a communication terminal apparatus via a communication network, and a received voice data encoded by a predetermined scheme for the test signal received with the communication terminal apparatus is received from the communication terminal apparatus. A received voice signal is generated from the received voice data received from the communication terminal apparatus, and a evaluation value of voice communication quality is calculated by comparing the generated received voice signal with the test signal before transmitting.
Method and system for a multitenancy telephone network
A method and system for operating a multitenancy telephony system including receiving a plurality of call requests associated with an application server; selecting a subset of the received call requests using a load balancer; assigning each selected call request to one of a plurality of resources creating, on the assigned resource, a call session for each selected call request; and coordinating the created call sessions resulting from the selected subset of the received call requests associated with the application server.
Reduction in network congestion
A system, method and non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that when read by a processor perform receiving a telephony connection request at a location in a telephony network, the location separated from an intended recipient of the telephony connection request by a target telephony network, determining addressing information regarding the intended recipient, the addressing information including at least routing information or a phone number, determining a status characteristic of the intended recipient based on the addressing information, based on the status characteristic, and determining whether the intended recipient would successfully receive the telephony connection request if the telephony connection request was forwarded to the intended recipient.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SHIFTING CALL HANDLING ACROSS MULTI-REGION SERVICE CLUSTERS
A system for handling calls in a network includes a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations include receiving information about the calls for a time interval, determining, for the time interval, a total cost associated with handling the calls, including a network cost associated with transmitting data over the network, a processing cost for processing the information related to the calls, and a cost of dynamically reassigning master and slave roles to a plurality of nodes in the network. The operations further include determining an assignment of the master and slave roles for a plurality of accounts being handled by the plurality of nodes that results in the total cost having a minimum value, and implementing the optimal assignment among the plurality of the accounts based on the determination.
ENUM SERVER AND CONGESTION CONTROL METHOD
The present invention suppresses the number of connections from another network, and reduces the load on call processing apparatuses in a local network. An ENUM server 30 includes: a congestion detection unit 322 that collects traffic information regarding calls that include call destination numbers from call processing apparatuses in the local network, calculates a call amount per unit time for each call destination number, and stores the call amounts per unit time as calculated call amount information 331, and also extracts a call destination number included in an ENUM query received from the other network, references the calculated call amount information 331, and determines that calls to the call destination number are in a congested state if the call amount regarding the call destination number exceeds a predetermined threshold value; a limit processing unit 323 that, if it was determined that the call destination number included in the ENUM query is in the congested state, determine whether or not the ENUM query is to be a limit target based on predetermined limit processing; and a signal response unit 325 that, if it was determined that the ENUM query is a limit target, generates an ENUM answer that indicates connection unavailability, and transmits the ENUM answer to the other network.
