Extension mobility via a headset connection
A method is disclosed for performing extension mobility via a headset connection. The method includes receiving a headset identifier from a headset. Also, the method includes, in response to receiving the headset identifier, sending the headset identifier to a device management server. Further, the method includes receiving a call control user identifier from the device management server, and sending, to a call control server, the call control user identifier. Still yet, the method includes receiving, from the call control server, a configuration profile associated with the call control user identifier. One or more settings of a desk phone are configured using the configuration profile.
Systems and methods for encryption of communications with video games
A system that may be utilized for sending and locking electronic communications is provided. The system allows a user to send an electronic communication that is locked, for example, encrypted, hidden, or otherwise made unviewable by the system to form a locked communication. The locked communication can be formed by associating a game with the electronic communication and requiring that a recipient play the game and satisfy an objective of the game before the electronic communication is unlocked or made viewable and displayed for the recipient. The locked communications can be sent to multiple recipients or to groups and can provide opportunities for competitive or cooperative play between users. Promotions, coupons, incentives, coupons, and marketing materials can be sent as locked messages and require or incentivize engagement by users.
TOLL-FREE TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND DATA MANAGEMENT PLATFORM
A Toll-Free Management Platform (TFMP) includes methods and systems for number administration, customer administration, call management services, texting services and text registry, and a smart services registry. The TFMP may allow users to receive through a web-based interface, an activate request from a user, wherein the request includes at least a customer record template reference and an indication of when to active a toll-free telecommunications number associated with the request. The request may include at least one IP address datum associated with the toll-free telecommunications number. A user interface may allow activating a toll-free number, and users may access the TFMP to create and access existing templates of toll-free call routing templates, and utilize a routing tree engine to create customized call routing trees for the toll-free numbers of interest to the user.
Distributed implementation of dynamic wireless traffic policy
A method of buffering application data operable at a delivery control server is provided. Related systems and computer program products are also provided.
OPPORTUNISTIC DELIVERY OF CACHEABLE CONTENT IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
Systems and methods are described for using opportunistically delayed delivery of content to address sub-optimal bandwidth resource usage in network infrastructures that allow subscribers to share forward link resources. According to some embodiments, content is identified as delayable and assigned to a delaycast queue and/or service flow. For example, a server system of a satellite communications system identifies content that can be delayed to exploit future excess link capacity through multicasting and to exploit subscriber-side storage resources. Some implementations attempt to exploit any excess link resources at any time, while others exploit unused bandwidth only during certain times or when a certain threshold of resources is available. Various embodiments also provide content scoring and/or other prioritization techniques for optimizing exploitation of the delaycast queue.
Method, telephone, telecommunication system and device for controlling power consumption of a telephone
The invention relates to a method for controlling the power consumption of a telephone (10), (310). A power saving mode is automatically switched on or off for the telephone (10), (310), depending on: at least one given timespan, within which the telephone (10) is predicted not to be used or another terminal (380).
AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION OF THE CONFIGURATION OF A COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
A method of automatically activating a configuration of a communication terminal, which is customised according to a current user of the terminal. The method implements the following: identifying, at a current time, the current user in possession of the terminal; retrieving parameterization information of the terminal which has been predefined by the identified current user; retrieving usage data of at least one communication terminal having been used by the current user prior to the current time, according to the retrieved parameterization information of the terminal; and configuring the terminal that the current user has in possession, using the retrieved usage data.

Communication event processing method and apparatus
A communication event processing method performed at a computer server includes: obtaining identification information and call description information from multiple different terminals about a phone number; determining whether the phone number is a nuisance phone number according to the call description information and a quantity of the terminals identifying the phone number; and sending, after receiving a query request for the phone number, a blocking instruction to a terminal initiating the query when it is determined that the phone number is a nuisance phone number, so that the terminal initiating the query blocks a communication event of the phone number. According to the present disclosure, the server can determine which phone numbers are nuisance phone numbers according to specific identification cases and the call description information, and therefore provide highly accurate processing in response to a query request of a terminal, thereby greatly improving efficiency of communication event processing.
