Electronic device and communication relaying method thereof
According to an embodiment, an electronic device may include a communication circuit, a display, a processor, and a memory. The memory may be store instructions which, when executed, configure the processor to control the electronic device to: control the communication circuit to receive a call from a first external electronic device, identify a receiving phone number of the call, identify a second external electronic device in a communication group set corresponding to the receiving phone number among at least one phone number registered based on information about a user account stored in the memory, and control the communication circuit to relay the call to the identified second external electronic device.
Automatic activation of the configuration of a communication terminal
A method of automatically activating a configuration of a communication terminal, which is customised according to a current user of the terminal. The method implements the following: identifying, at a current time, the current user in possession of the terminal; retrieving parameterization information of the terminal which has been predefined by the identified current user; retrieving usage data of at least one communication terminal having been used by the current user prior to the current time, according to the retrieved parameterization information of the terminal; and configuring the terminal that the current user has in possession, using the retrieved usage data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TRANSFERRING USER INFORMATION TO DIFFERENT DEVICES
A communications system according to certain embodiments includes a mobile device and a second type of communications system, such as a landline telephone system, that share usage information. The shared information can include call logs of in-coming and out-going calls, missed calls, text messages, address book information, GPS data, internet browsing data, and the like.
Dynamic direction of incoming calls
Apparatus and methods concerning call routing are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a call alert message, indicative of the call answer options, is communicated from the VoIP server to the communication device, determined in response to receiving an incoming VoIP call for a communication device at a VoIP server. A selected option is received from the communication device. In response to the selected option indicating the first call answer option, the call is routed to the communication device as a VoIP call via a data network. In response to the selected option indicating the second call answer option, the call is routed to the communication device via a PSTN.
Configuration of telephone ring list based on mobile device location
Proximity of a user/device to a designated location or other user/device can be determined and used to trigger automatic reconfiguration of a telephone ring list associated with the user/device. Accordingly, there is no need for manual reconfiguration to accommodate changes in the user's location or schedule. Specific phone numbers may be added or removed from a user's ring list based on the user's location, and the ring list may be reconfigured as the user enters or leaves a location. The user's desired phones will automatically ring for incoming calls based on the ring list and/or an identification of the incoming call.
Telephone network system and methos
Systems for and methods of delivering telephone calls using the combination of a data channel and a voice channel are disclosed. A data channel connection with the telephone handset may provide pre-call information used to set up incoming and outgoing calls which are ultimately connected using a voice channel. Use of the pre-call information may permit the same handset to be associated with multiple secondary telephone numbers from which calls appear to have been made and to which calls appear to have been placed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING CALLER IDENTIFICATION OVER A PUBLIC SWITCHED TELEPHONE NETWORK
A system and method of providing caller identification (ID) over a public switched telephone network (PSTN). For outbound calls, the system and method enable a caller to provide a caller ID that differs from the native caller ID of their mobile phone. The system and method enable multiple phones tied to a single account to display the same caller ID for outbound calls. For forwarded inbound calls, such as calls being forwarded from an office, the system and method inform the recipient of the identification of the call as well as that the call is being forwarded. The system and method enable the recipient to have calls forwarded from more than one number and identify the identity of the caller as well as the specific number the call is being forwarded from.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REDIRECTING A COMMUNICATION REQUEST
A method for redirecting a communication request sent by a caller terminal to a called terminal, an identifier of the caller terminal being absent from a list of identifiers of caller terminals for which the establishment of a communication with the called terminal is authorized or blocked, referred to as a white list or black list, respectively. The method includes: redirecting the communication request to a redirection terminal associated with the called terminal, distinct from the called terminal; receiving an instruction message, including the identifier of the caller terminal and an instruction relating to the white list or to the black list, depending on the instruction received, adding the identifier of the caller terminal to the white list or to the black list.
Voice interaction at a primary device to access call functionality of a companion device
The present disclosure generally relates to using voice interaction to access call functionality of a companion device. In an example process, a user utterance is received. Based on the user utterance and contextual information, the process causes a server to determine a user intent corresponding to the user utterance. The contextual information is based on a signal received from the companion device. In accordance with the user intent corresponding to an actionable intent of answering the incoming call, a command is received. Based on the command, instructions are provided to the companion device, which cause the companion device to answer the incoming call and provide audio data of the answered incoming call. Audio is outputted according to the audio data of the answered incoming call.
