Method, apparatus and system for call leg selection
A method, apparatus and system for call leg selection is provided. In an embodiment, a call manger is provided which is connected to telephones that have the same telephone number. When the call manager receives an incoming call identifying that telephone number, the call manager sends a query to each of the telephones inquiring as to which telephone should receive the call. Depending on the response, the call manager will route the call to the appropriate one of the telephones.
Outgoing call management in a communication environment with unified communication interfaces
A computer-implemented method for managing a billing policy for mobile phone associated with a first phone number corresponding to a first account and a second phone number corresponding to a second account is described herein. The billing policy defines actions performed by the mobile phone to be charged to the first account, and defines actions performed by the mobile phone to be charged to the second account. Charges are allocated to one of the first account and second account based on the billing policy. A user can configured to phone to operate in a private mode, in response to which actions are charged to a default account of the two accounts, and information about the action is not provided to an external entity.
RECEPTION CONTROL APPARATUS, RECEPTION SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
A reception control apparatus (10) accommodates a plurality of terminal apparatuses (20) to be used by each of a plurality of users and a reception apparatus (30) receiving a visitor, and includes a scheduled visit database (11) that can be registered by associating authentication information of a scheduled visitor with the user, an acquisition unit (12) acquiring authentication information of a visitor from the reception apparatus (30) when the visitor visits, a calling unit (13) calling a selected terminal apparatus among the plurality of terminal apparatuses (20), based on a collation result between the acquired visitor's authentication information and the registered authentication information of the scheduled visitor, and a registration unit (14) registering, in the scheduled visit database (11), the acquired visitor's authentication information in association with the user of the terminal apparatus (20), based on a response result of the terminal apparatus (20) for the call.
METHOD AND CALL MANAGER NODE FOR HANDLING GROUP CALLS
A method and a call manager node (200) for handling calls directed to a group of subscribers. When receiving (2:3) a request from a caller (202) for access to a first group of subscribers (204) having at least one common characteristic, the call manager node assigns (2:4) first caller-specific temporary group number (A1) for the caller, wherein the first group number can be used exclusively by the caller for calling the subscribers in the first group. The call manager node further sends (2:5) the first group number to the caller in response to the request. The caller is then connected (2:7, 2:9, 2:11) to a subscriber in the first group sequentially or according to a scheme each time the caller dials (2:6, 2:8, 2:10) the first group number. The group is created according to a criteria and the anonymity of the called parties is kept. Call hunting.
CALL MANAGEMENT BETWEEN MULTIPLE USER DEVICES
A connection manager manages connections for associated user devices by determining whether an incoming connection has been answered at a user device, and if so then generating and transmitting silencing commands to associated user devices using first and second wireless communication modes, with one mode being faster. Connections can comprise phone calls, and modes can comprise push and Bluetooth messaging. The connection manager can instruct device outputs to provide connection alerts, limited to visual alerts when an associated user device is active, listen for associated user device communications, and instruct device outputs to stop providing alerts when a silencing command is received. Further, a connection manager can receive a signal regarding a headset status, route an outside connection from a phone to the headset when the headset is active or to another device when the headset is not active, detect a change in headset status, and reroute the connection accordingly.
Communication Termination Using Hunt Groups and Implicit Registration
When authorized, a user of a computing device, such as a smart phone, may associate a telephone number that is assigned to a computing device with other computing devices. The other computing devices may or may not have an assigned device number. A user may also select to use the same number as the originating number of an electronic device. For example, a user may specify that each computing device associated with the user utilizes the same telephone number. The user may also specify that a computing device not utilize an assigned number. The associations of a device number with the computing devices may be stored as implicit registration data and/or as hunt groups.
MULTIPLE PARTY CALL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Disclosed embodiments provide improved communication between a caller and multiple parties. A caller performs a call spray operation on a group of contacts using an electronic communication device such as a mobile telephone. The call spray operation attempts to contact an electronic device associated with each contact in the group of contacts. If one of the contacts answers and is deemed to be a live user, then the remaining contacts that did not answer each receive a message on their associated electronic device indicating which of the contacts answered the caller with a live user. In this way, a group of people can be conveniently contacted and kept up to date with the status of the communication with the caller.
USER INTERFACE FOR PHONE CALL ROUTING AMONG DEVICES
A first electronic device receives a phone call that was routed to the first electronic device by a call-routing service. While receiving the call, the first electronic device receives a request to route the phone call to a second electronic device. In response to receiving the request to route the phone call to the second electronic device, in accordance with a determination that a first routing criteria have been met, the first electronic device sends a request to the call-routing service to route the phone call to the second electronic device instead of routing the phone call to the first electronic device. In accordance with a determination that a second routing criteria have been met, the first electronic device causes call data associated with the call to be routed through the first electronic device to the second electronic device.
Facilitation of an internet protocol multimedia platform
A call routing platform system can be used to facilitate routing of a call to a mobile device and a real-time communication API enable device simultaneously. A mobile device number associated with a mobile device can be registered with a call routing service to facilitate call forking between the mobile device and the real-time communication API enabled device. The call routing platform system can comprise an IP multimedia system to facilitate the call forking.
Inter-network connection control device, and connection control method
An inter-network connection control device that is used for interconnecting a communication network and another communication network includes a request signal forwarding unit that forwards a connection request signal transmitted from originating user equipment in the communication network to the other communication network, and a response signal processor that receives, from the other communication network, a plurality of response signals with respect to the connection request signal, the plurality of response signals being forked in the other communication network receiving the connection request signal and being forwarded to a plurality of terminating user devices, and that forwards one response signal of the plurality of response signals to the originating user equipment.
