Apparatus for providing a connection to a wide area network for voice calls, a power management circuit, and a method for providing a connection to a wide area network for voice calls
An apparatus for providing a connection to a wide area network for voice calls includes a wide area network circuit configured to transmit voice call data packets, a phone connection circuit configured to receive a voice call signal from a phone, a processor circuit configured to generate voice call data packets based on a voice call signal received by the phone connection circuit and a power management circuit configured to switch off at least a part of the apparatus to reach a power down mode of the apparatus, if a supply voltage drops below a supply voltage threshold.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING AND MANAGING AUDIO CONTENT
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed for generating and managing audio content, such as blogcast episodes. In accordance with one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided that includes operations performed by at least one processor including retrieving a plurality of stored snippets of media content related to a blogcast episode, the plurality of stored snippets of media content including one or more snippets of user-contributed content. The method also includes receiving snippet metric data associated with one or more snippets of user-contributed content. In addition, the method includes selecting two or more snippets of the plurality of stored snippets of media content including at least one snippet of user-contributed content and generating a blogcast episode comprising the two or more snippets of the plurality of snippets of media content.
AN APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING A CONNECTION TO A WIDE AREA NETWORK FOR VOICE CALLS, A POWER MANAGEMENT CIRCUIT, AND A METHOD FOR PROVIDING A CONNECTION TO A WIDE AREA NETWORK FOR VOICE CALLS
A METHOD AND PROCESS FOR A VOICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BETWEEN BUSINESSES AND CUSTOMERS USING EXISTING TELEPHONY AND OVER DATA NETWORKS
A system and method for integrating an existing telephony system of a business with various other existing communication equipment in a unique sequence and using call servers to facilitate voice calls to be made over data networks between businesses and customers for the purpose of low cost customer service provision. The system and method comprises a business connecting voice calls over data networks to customers registered in a dedicated directory using a digital to analog converter to convert the existing telephony system format of the business into digital format to transmit digital packets to the call server which will function as a telephone switch and connect the call to the customer and customers making voice calls over data networks to the business using the directory. Customers use a computer or mobile application which transmits digital packets to the call server which will connect the call through the converter, converting the format from digital to analog, to existing telephony system.
Wireless replacement line also known as a wireless home phone configured for receiving wireless emergency alerts
A wireless telephone base station for a telephone includes a transceiver configured to receive wireless emergency alerts, a display configured to show the wireless emergency alerts, an output device configured to play the wireless emergency alerts, and a processor configured to show the wireless emergency alerts on the display and to play the wireless emergency alerts on the output device.
Prioritized Call Sessions
A local network call handling device is configured to establish multiple concurrent call sessions between local network end devices and an external network. When a prioritized end device attempts to establish a call session, the call handling device may initially determine if a first call session identifier is available. If so, the call session can be established using that first identifier. If the first identifier is in use for a call session of another end device, the call handling device may either use a different call session identifier for the prioritized end device session or may drop a pre-existing call session to free an identifier for use in connection with the prioritized end device.
Processing messages with a device server operating in a telephone
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computer-readable storage medium in a telephone having computer instructions to execute a web server application in the telephone. The web server application can be operable to detect an incoming plain old telephone service call, identify a calling party identifier from the incoming plain old telephone service call, and direct one of a plurality of devices detected by web server application to present the calling party identifier. Other embodiments are disclosed.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING VOICE MESSAGES, METHOD FOR DEACTIVATING DTMF CODING AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A REQUEST TO DEACTIVATE DTMF CODING
Methods are described for processing voice messages, for deactivating DTMF coding, and for processing a request to deactivate DTMF coding. The method for processing voice messages using a terminal includes sending a request to a voice server to be interpreted by the server to deactivate DTMF coding on a communication channel between the server and the terminal, receiving, from the server, a datum relating to the terminal's configuration, interpreting the configuration datum and applying to the terminal a configuration mode obtained from the interpretation, and processing voice messages using the terminal according to the configuration mode.
Gateway function control via telephony/voice service
An apparatus, method and computer readable memory comprises a voice service interface for allowing user control of a gateway. The voice service interface comprises a voice service module operable to interface with a telephonic communication device to process and receive gateway configuration entries from the user through the telephonic communication device. The voice service module is operable to transmit the gateway configuration entries to a gateway controller. The gateway configuration entries are configured to be parsed and applied to the gateway for control, configuration and/or diagnostic of the gateway. Gateway configuration entries include control function changes such as home gateway device reboot, Wi-Fi, enabling/disabling/configuration, parent control enabling/disabling/configuration, and other intended gateway functionalities.
On premises gateways interconnecting VoIP systems, the public switched telephone network and private branch exchanges and other telephony infrastructure
A system and computer-implemented method for providing telephony communication services for VoIP or analog telephony devices using an on-premises gateway and remotely located VoIP system are described. Some implementations of the methods may include generating a configuration file mapping a plurality of tag extensions to a plurality of analog telephone ports of a high-density analog telephony adapter (HDATA), which may be communicatively coupled to the VoIP system. The VoIP system may transmit the configuration file to the HDATA, receive a telephony service request, and determine a tag extension based on the telephony service request. The VoIP system may transmit an identification of the tag extension to the HDATA and route a telephony service to the HDATA via the communication channel using the tag extension.
