PHONE INTERFACE SYSTEM
The present invention provides for phone interface systems providing for the elderly. The present invention provides for a telephone management system blending landline technology with landline or cell phone networks, and bridging the technology and functionality gap for seniors. Aspects of the invention provide for network interface systems which include interfaces for allowing use of landline systems with cellular technology, providing video displays to allow for touch access to numbers, and to synch actuators and sensors with the interface system.
Wireless Replacement Line also known as a Wireless Home Phone Configured for Receiving Wireless Emergency Alerts
A wireless telephone base station for a telephone includes a transceiver configured to receive wireless emergency alerts, a display configured to show the wireless emergency alerts, an output device configured to play the wireless emergency alerts, and a processor configured to show the wireless emergency alerts on the display and to play the wireless emergency alerts on the output device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIGITAL ASSISTANT INTERFACE UTILIZING PLAIN-OLD-TELEPHONE
A system and method for utilizing a plain-old-telephone (“POT”) to interface with a digital assistant system. The POT is linked to an interface adapted to selectively provide a bidirectional audio connection to a standard telephone communication network, or to provide an interface to a digital assistant system in response to user voice commands. The functionality of the POT digital assistant interface being dependent upon the user input—DTMF tone/pulse dialing signals as opposed to voice commands spoken into the POT mouthpiece. Audio cues and prompts, as well as audio responses from the digital assistant system are provided to the user via the POT earpiece. Digital assistant functionality is provided via a simple and familiar interface, without impeding any standard voice telephony functionality (making/receiving calls, call waiting, caller ID, etc.)
Systems, methods, devices and arrangements for cost-effective routing
A variety of methods, systems, devices and arrangements are implemented for assessing and/or controlling call routing for Internet-based (e.g., VoIP/VioIP) calls. According to one such method, endpoint devices are used to monitor and/or assess the call-quality. The assessment is sent to a centralized server arrangement and call-routing is controlled therefrom. Endpoint devices employ a decentralized testing mechanism to further monitor and assess call quality including the use of test connections. Aspects of call quality are analyzed and attributed to endpoint devices and/or local connections or networks to distinguish intermediate routing issues from local/endpoint issues.
METHOD FOR ASSOCIATING A NEW GATHERING NODE IN A DISTRIBUTED WIRELESS NETWORK
A method for associating a new gathering node in a distributed wireless communication network, each gathering node includes at least one access-point radio-frequency interface and/or a user node of a so-called gathering wireless network associated with the communication network, the method being performed by a management node of the network and including the steps of receiving a message which include information that a new gathering node is to be associated, sending a command activating a so-called association radio-frequency interface, receiving a message indicating that a new gathering node is associated with an existing gathering node, determining a first validation of association of the new gathering node, and, if the association is validated, then sending, to the new gathering node, information on parameterisings includes information necessary for an association of the new node with the gathering wireless network of the network.
Apparatus for providing a connection to a wide area network for voice calls, a power management circuit, and a method for providing a connection to a wide area network for voice calls
An apparatus for providing a connection to a wide area network for voice calls includes a wide area network circuit configured to transmit voice call data packets, a phone connection circuit configured to receive a voice call signal from a phone, a processor circuit configured to generate voice call data packets based on a voice call signal received by the phone connection circuit and a power management circuit configured to switch off at least a part of the apparatus to reach a power down mode of the apparatus, if a supply voltage drops below a supply voltage threshold.
Systems and methods for generating and managing audio content
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed for generating and managing audio content, such as blogcast episodes. In accordance with one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided that includes operations performed by at least one processor including retrieving a plurality of stored snippets of media content related to a blogcast episode, the plurality of stored snippets of media content including one or more snippets of user-contributed content. The method also includes receiving snippet metric data associated with one or more snippets of user-contributed content. In addition, the method includes selecting two or more snippets of the plurality of stored snippets of media content including at least one snippet of user-contributed content and generating a blogcast episode comprising the two or more snippets of the plurality of snippets of media content.
System and method for determining spoofing of at least one identifier
A system and method for determining spoofing of at least one identifier are described, the identifier being intended for the use of a communication device, during communication between a first communication terminal and a second communication terminal. The method can be implemented by a device for determining spoofing of at least one identifier. The method can include receiving a signaling message of the communication from the first communication terminal and intended for the second communication terminal, the signaling message including at least one identifier and at least one first item of certification data, obtaining at least one second item of certification data on the basis of the at least one received identifier, comparing the at least one first item of certification data with said at least one second item of certification data, and transmitting at least the message to the second terminal on the basis of the result of the comparison.
VoIP Analog Telephone System
A multi-port VoIP telecommunications system that allows the user to gain access to telephone connectivity through the Internet by connecting directly to the Internet or by connecting to the Internet through the existing Internet connection of a computer or cell phone device. The present system includes an Ethernet port, a Wi-Fi receiver to facilitate the transmission and receipt of Internet protocol signals wirelessly, a USB plug connectable to the ATA, connectivity to a home monitoring network and connectivity to Bluetooth devices.
